As a Senior Release Manager, you will be the central orchestrator for delivering value to our customers, acting as a critical bridge between Engineering, Ops, and Customer Care. Your primary impact will be to ensure a smooth, predictable, and efficient release process for all software and infrastructure changes. You will achieve this by:
- Driving Release Strategy and Execution:You will partner directly with engineering teams to plan, coordinate, and execute the delivery of new features and updates. Your role is to manage the entire release lifecycle, from initial planning and risk assessment to final deployment and communication.
- Enhancing Visibility and Decision-Making:You will provide crucial insights to the business by developing and maintaining dashboards in Jira and Confluence and tracking key metrics that align to business outcomes. Your ability to use data to drive decisions will ensure stakeholders have a clear view of release progress and potential risks.
- Championing Agile and Process Improvement:You will be a key driver of our Agile culture, constantly improving our release processes, practices, and tooling. By defining and rolling out common approaches and leveraging your experience with scaled agile frameworks, you will make it simpler for teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently.
Your Qualifications:
Essential
- Extensive commercial experience as a Release Engineer or Release Manager within a software engineering environment.
- Strong history of using data to track metrics and drive decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience with software delivery, including continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Proven experience implementing and working within a scaled framework for agile development.
- Strong leadership and change management skills, with the ability to lead via influence in a cross-functional setting and manage the rollout of new processes.
Key Skills & Technologies
- Excellent communication skills, especially in translating technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Expertise with Jira(including Advanced Roadmaps), Confluence, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Harness.
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as Google Cloud (GCP)and AWS.
Desirable
- A background in DevOps.
- Proficiency with scripting languages.
- Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI.
- Knowledge of Splunk and GitHub.
