Anaplan is looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative QA Engineer to join our Experience Engineering team. You will be an essential member of a team dedicated to ensuring our platform delivers a world-class experience on the web. This is a fantastic opportunity to be the champion of quality for our award-winning planning technology and grow your skills in web testing. We are looking for a passionate advocate for quality who is eager to learn and solve problems. In this role, you will help define and execute test strategies, identify and analyze issues, and follow best practices to ensure Anaplan delivers a seamless, intuitive, and powerful web experience to our customers.
Your Impact
- Help enhance the experience for our users by identifying, documenting, and tracking defects to ensure our platform is intuitive and accessible across all major web browsers.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to understand feature requirements, provide early feedback, and ensure quality is a primary focus throughout the development lifecycle.
- Analyze interesting technical challenges in a web environment, including cross-browser compatibility issues, UI inconsistencies, state management bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to learn and apply best practices in web application testing and quality assurance across the organisation.
Core Qualifications
- Good problem-solving skills and a passion for building high-quality, well-tested systems.
- Experience in testing web applications, with a strong understanding of both manual and automated testing principles.
- A collaborative mindset and great communication skills, with an eagerness to learn from your team members and advocate for the user.
Helpful Experience
- Experience testing applications built with modern web frameworks like React.
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Experience with front-end architecture, state management libraries (like Redux), and testing responsive UIs for modern browsers.
- An understanding of web application deployment and CI/CD processes.
- Familiarity with testing backend services and APIs; experience with API testing tools is a plus.
