People Operations Specialist

Role Overview:
As the People Operations Specialist, you'll be both a strategic partner and a hands-on executor, deeply involved in improving HR systems and processes. You play a crucial role in owning people systems, resolving employee issues, and facilitating people operations processes. You'll have the opportunity to refine People Operations procedures, create policies, and ensure compliance. With your keen analytical approach, you'll lead strategic people projects and ensure data accuracy. As a mentor and collaborative force within the People Operations team, you are fundamental to driving the team's success. Your experience in managing complex HR operations, leading cross-functional projects, and championing initiatives that drive efficiency, compliance, and employee satisfaction will be invaluable. This role requires a blend of technical prowess in HRIS, a deep understanding of HR legalities, and the ability to provide insightful analytics that shape the organization's HR strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Full ownership of one or more People systems or People processes
- Be an escalation point for employee questions and tickets. If appropriate, escalate issues to other members of the People team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with People Partners, Legal, Recruiting, and Finance to streamline and improve employee lifecycle processes, ensuring a consistent, positive experience from onboarding to offboarding.
- Document, maintain, and communicate core HR processes to cross-department stakeholders, managers, and employees.
- Facilitate cross-functional process mapping sessions to identify and address operational inefficiencies, collaborating with teams to enhance processes and implement programs that simplify the employee experience.
- Develop and execute program management strategies in collaboration with other stakeholders. Provide technical and functional expertise to influence project direction and success.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows, user guides, and standard operating procedures. Train HR team members and end-users on system functionality, best practices, and workflows.
- Manage and oversee HR compliance activities, ensuring adherence to employment laws and regulations.
- Act as a resource for employees on HR-related inquiries, providing guidance and support on matters such as policies and procedures.
- Lead HR projects and initiatives within your purview.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with HR policies and procedures.
- Generate HR reports and analytics to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations to improve HR processes and policies.
- Coach and mentor junior HR team members to develop their skills.
- Collaborate with the People Operations leadership team to align strategies and initiatives within the People Operations team.
Traits and Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years in HR or People Operations with a passion for creating a streamlined and positive experience for all internal stakeholders.
- An eye for scalable solutions and a passion for technology and automation - you are always exploring new systems solutions for you and your team to increase efficiency and effectiveness. You are oriented to solve for long-term solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data processing and Excel, paired with an acute attention to detail in all tasks and a history in roles requiring meticulous precision.
- Getting things done with a high level of craftsmanship. You are detail-oriented and triple-check your work before shipping.
- You can easily handle multiple tasks simultaneously with expert organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively.
- Independent problem-solver with a strategic mindset, well-versed in HR policies, procedures, and best practices, including legal compliance.
- Discretion — you know how to maintain confidentiality but also recognize what needs to be escalated.
- Ability to function independently and problem-solve with minimal or no direction.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices, including employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficient in using HRIS and other HR-related software systems.
- Familiar with handling visa sponsorship and managing a globally mobile workforce.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels.
- SHRM certification is a plus
US Salary Range
$90,000 - $135,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
