Manufacturing Technician

Anduril is seeking a number of skilled technicians with an electrical, mechatronic or mechanical background to join our manufacturing team in Sydney, Australia. The Manufacturing Team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defence hardware for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV). As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a key role in delivering our AUVs to customers by working hands-on with the engineering team, building complex electromechanical assemblies and integrating them into the final product!
The right person for this role can demonstrate experience working in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment such as defence manufacturing, aircraft maintenance or advanced technology manufacturing environments. This person will be flexible to provide support wherever needed to ensure products are built and shipped under stringent quality standards. What You’ll Do
- Work within a team of multidisciplinary engineers and specialists on assembly and integration efforts
- Build, test, and integrate electro-mechanical assemblies into our world class products
- Assemble metallic and composite structures, hydraulic systems and machined parts including COTS components
- Design, prototype, and scale manufacturing jigs and fixtures to improve build and test efficiency
- Contribute to all stages of the product development and manufacturing life cycle, provide feedback to the engineering team on improvement opportunities
- Help develop, document, and improve our workflows and documentation
- Interact with digital ERP system for work order tracking, inventory management, and quality reporting
Required Qualifications
- Solid experience in a manufacturing or service relevant field (automotive / marine, aerospace, industrial equipment)
- Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation (mechanical drawings, work instructions, equipment schematics, electrical diagrams, etc.)
- Familiar with fabrication processes, hand tool use, and plastic / metal / composite part assembly
- Commitment to a high-quality product and strong sense of personal accountability
- Familiarity with building and maintaining electromechanical systems
- Very well organised and detail-oriented
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture
- Eligibility to obtain a NV1 security clearance (status not required at time of hire)
Preferred Experience
- Experience in mechatronics and robotics (Drones, AUVs, autonomous equipment)
- Proficiency with electrical debug and installation of software for testing
- Machining and/or 3D printing experience
- Prior experience working with JIRA, Teamcenter (PLM), or NetSuite (ERP) or equivalents
- Experience with low volume / high mix manufacturing

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
