ABOUT THE JOB

This role will report to the Director, FP&A, and will play a critical role in providing financial and operational insights to various Business Units within Anduril. This role has the unique opportunity to be an influential business partner to Senior Leaders within the organization and help fuel further success in this hyper growth phase of the company. Being a value-add partner is crucial the success of this position. Active financial management, thinking outside the box, and pushing financially focused deliverables into the business will be imperative to the long-term success of Anduril. Optimizing profitability through strategic decision making, as well as active P&L Management with Senior Partners will be amongst the daily duties of this Role. Just as Anduril is investing in the next generation of autonomous aircraft and defense capabilities, the Finance organization is constantly rethinking how to leverage cutting edge tech to push the boundaries of a typical support org. This role will directly enable Anduril’s vision to revolutionize defense tech, as well as provide best in industry capabilities, insights, and support for Senior Leadership. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical and collaborative mindset, a solid understanding of financial and operational analysis, excellent modeling and data visualization skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Serve as the finance lead and strategic business partner for multiple Business Units GMs and their teams, thoroughly understanding business needs in order to recommend and drive forward key initiatives.
  • Offer financial support and performance analysis to a multitude of internal stakeholders. This includes collaborating with everyone from Engineers to Execs, to provide clarity on operational performance, formulating, tracking, and managing budgets and associated KPIs to drive desirable financial outcomes.
  • Drive the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process through the establishment of timelines and targets, collection of investment details, creation of operating budgets, and development of key review materials.
  • Perform activities that drive efficient planning and execution of financials and resource analysis (FTE's) across various functions, including but not limited to engineering operations, supply chain, program management, sustainment, business finance, and /or planning/scheduling.
  • Support forecast model maintenance and build bottoms up, data driven models to understand segmentation, pricing optimization, and financial impact analysis.
  • Identify business opportunities, formulate hypotheses, and conduct in-depth analyses which illuminate opportunities to drive further success.
  • Own performance dashboards, alerting, and investigation into KPI health. Assess the impact of new product features on KPIs while developing strategies which drive demonstrable impact against those same metrics.
  • Serve as an advocate for your business partners, helping them to present investment cases and facilitate trade-off discussions where necessary.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of Excel models and Anaplan dashboards for periodic financial reporting, forecasting, and planning.
  • Customer program reporting as required, including but not limited to monthly invoicing, monthly financial status reporting, and input into annual incurred cost proposal process.
  • Assist with the implementation of financial systems and process improvements to enhance reporting capabilities and data accuracy.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and presentations for executive leadership and external stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS with 5-8 years of prior experience in FP&A, preferably in a Manufacturing, Aerospace and Defense, or Tech environment
  • Intellectually curious - you seek to understand the why behind the numbers.
  • Highly technical - you value precision and accuracy when it comes to your work, and you can rapidly dissect complex quantitative problems.
  • Critical thinker - you consider problems from all angles to remove bias.
  • Results-oriented - you will do whatever it takes to ensure success. You ground your contributions in real customer and business impact and prioritize your time to maximize speed-to-impact.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills. You drive consensus through grounded arguments, interpersonal skills, and negotiation skills.
  • Creative problem-solver - able to identify obstacles and present viable solutions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
  • Excited by large breadth of problem.
  • Comfort in designing and analyzing experiments, preferably in a business context.
  • Ability to work autonomously, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Prior experience with Anaplan, Netsuite, or Oracle is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

US Salary Range

$114,000 - $171,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
