ABOUT THE JOB
Anduril’s Design Team is seeking a GDD to join our team. You will oversee the industrial design group across multiple programs to shape the design vision. You will drive strategic objectives and operationalize design initiatives, ensuring quality and consistency. The ideal candidate will have experience defining and executing sustainable processes and operations. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Partner with the VP of Design on identifying initiatives and strategic frameworks that align with business objectives
- Collaborate with functional leaders to align on industrial design initiatives and product identity
- Manage teams across hardware development, prototyping, and CMF
- Oversee team rituals including design critiques and updates
- Lead design mechanics ensuring consistency and quality in form language across hardware
- Collaborate with functional leaders to align on key topics and craft exec-level presentations, narratives, and emails
- Partner with Design Product Managers to develop planning and execution on implementation of design requirements across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Logistics
- Cultivate talent and inspire a team of designers across disciplines and levels of experience
- Evolve internal processes around workflows and project management
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 7 years professional experience in hardware, Industrial Design, or equivalent
- Proven track record of crafting and executing world-class hardware design from concept to production
- Demonstrated experience scaling a design team and deep understanding of production processes
- Excellent organizational skills and experience evolving project management and processes utilizing new tools and best practices
- Hands-on leader who develops and directs bold ideas, and executes programs
- Highly organized with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- A team player who is highly collaborative with the ability to execute programs with care and clarity
- A strong visual communicator with the ability articulate concepts to executives
- Bring deep experience in strong design principles with a talent for guiding teams
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
US Salary Range
$168,000 - $210,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
