ABOUT THE TEAM 
 
The Battlespace Awareness (BA) team within the Mission Systems (MS) Division at Anduril develops and delivers advanced situational awareness solutions and decision dominance with precision threat detection, tracking, and targeting. BA takes a software-first approach, using advanced mathematics and algorithm development to fuse data, increase tracking accuracy, and improve performance of integrated sensors. BA software forms the foundation for strategic threat detection and tracking solutions across the Department of Defense. The team also implements its software-first approach in development of next-generation radar platforms to enable threat detection, high precision tracking, and fire control quality data at the edge to defeat modern threats. 
 
 
ABOUT THE JOB
 
The Technical Software Project Manager for the Battlespace Awareness team is responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and delivery of the Wisp software and ensuring it meets all technical, functional, and business requirements. This role requires an individual with a strong technical background in software development, particularly within the imaging domain, and experience managing complex projects with multiple sub-teams and many stakeholders. The Technical Software Project Manager will be the linchpin in ensuring that the Wisp software is developed in line with the objectives defined and is released according to the planned schedule.
 
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Project Leadership and Strategy:
    • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan for the Wisp Sensor software development lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
    • Establish clear objectives and deliverables for the software that align with mission needs.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Maintain a deep understanding of the Wisp hardware and software interface requirements to ensure that the software integrates seamlessly with the sensor technology.
    • Stay updated on the latest imaging technology trends and incorporate relevant innovations into the project plan to enhance the Wisp sensor's capabilities.
  • Documentation and Process Improvement:
    • Ensure comprehensive documentation is maintained for the project, including technical specifications, user manuals, and project reports.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Release Management:
    • Oversee the planning and execution of the software release process, ensuring that deployment is carried out smoothly and efficiently.
    • Coordinate with marketing, sales, and support teams to prepare for software launch and ensure post-release support is in place.
    • Ensure that all software releases meet the defined quality standards before deployment.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, internally across teams and externally with stakeholders.
    • Regularly update stakeholders on project status, risks, and milestones through reports and presentations.
  • Resource Allocation:
    • Assess and allocate necessary resources, including personnel, software, and hardware, to ensure the project is adequately supported.
    • Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as needed to avoid bottlenecks or resource constraints.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies with the chief engineers to minimize impact on the project timeline and deliverables.
    • Regularly review and update the risk management plan to reflect changes in the project landscape.
  • Budget Oversight:
    • Manage the project budget, ensuring that all expenses are tracked, justified, and aligned with the project's financial objectives.
    • Provide financial forecasts and cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work with other divisions and departments to ensure the Wisp software is compatible with the broader software ecosystem and meets all integration requirements.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the Imaging business line and other stakeholders to promote a unified approach to product development.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Extensive project management experience, preferably in software development for imaging technologies or related fields.
  • Demonstrable understanding of imaging software, sensor technology, and hardware-software integration.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.

US Salary Range

$111,000 - $147,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
