The Security Operations Team consists of Security infrastructure, guard force operations, and crisis management. ABOUT THE JOB


As Anduril continues to expand its presence and operational footprint in Southern California, we are seeking an experienced and proactive SoCal Regional Physical Security Lead. This critical role will be responsible for the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of all physical security operations across Anduril's facilities within the Southern California region. You will be the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for physical security, including the comprehensive oversight of our contracted guard forces, conducting rigorous physical security assessments, and ensuring robust physical security measures are in place to protect our personnel, assets, and sensitive operations. This is an opportunity to shape and lead physical security initiatives in a high-growth, dynamic environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Regional Leadership: Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for all physical security functions across multiple Anduril sites within the Southern California region.
  • Guard Force Management: Oversee the performance and management of all contracted security guard forces in the SoCal region. Ensure compliance with global Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conduct regular performance reviews, and foster strong relationships with security vendors.
  • Site Security Oversight: Act as the lead for day-to-day physical security management of sites in the Southern California AOR, implementing and enforcing Anduril's security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Physical Security Assessments: Conduct comprehensive, regular physical security assessments of all SoCal facilities. This includes evaluating access control systems, perimeter security, CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, visitor management, and overall site vulnerability.
  • Risk Mitigation & Strategy Development: Identify potential physical security risks specific to the SoCal region and develop/implement effective mitigation strategies and enhanced security protocols.
  • Budget Management: Manage the regional physical security budget for SoCal, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, cost control, and accurate financial reporting.
  • Crisis Management Support: Provide crucial physical security support during crisis events within the SoCal region, working collaboratively with the broader Security Operations team and local site leadership to ensure rapid and effective response.
  • Incident Investigation & Reporting: Lead or support investigations into physical security incidents, ensuring thorough documentation and timely reporting to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with site leadership, Facilities, EHS, Legal, HR, and other internal departments, as well as local law enforcement and relevant external agencies as needed.
  • Policy Implementation & Compliance: Ensure all physical security measures and operations within SoCal comply with Anduril's global security standards, relevant regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Security Technology Implementation: Support the evaluation, implementation, and maintenance of physical security technologies within the region.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in physical security management, with a significant portion focused on regional oversight and guard force management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing physical security operations across multiple sites within a specific geographic region.
  • Proven track record in conducting comprehensive physical security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and developing actionable mitigation plans.
  • Experience managing security budgets and overseeing the performance of contracted security services, including a strong understanding of SLAs and KPIs.
  • In-depth knowledge of physical security principles, technologies (e.g., access control, CCTV, intrusion detection), and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of crisis management principles and experience providing physical security support during incidents.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearances.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in the defense, aerospace, or technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with the unique security landscape and threats within Southern California.
  • Relevant security certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or ASIS International certifications.
  • Experience working with government contracts and understanding related security requirements.
  • Proficiency in security management software and incident reporting systems.

US Salary Range

$98,000 - $130,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
