ABOUT THE TEAM

The Technical Security (TechSec) team within Anduril's Corporate Security Program is dedicated to protecting our people, physical assets, and proprietary innovations. We design, procure, and deploy robust technical security infrastructure and systems across our global footprint. Our mission is to create a secure built environment that enables Anduril's transformative work in defense technology. We focus on anticipating and addressing technical security challenges, ensuring Anduril's continued growth and innovation in a complex global landscape.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Senior Technical Security Application Engineer, Secured Spaces, is the technical authority for the design, commissioning, and lifecycle maintenance of the Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Access Control Systems (ACS) installed in Anduril’s secured spaces. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Security Systems Architecture, this role is a deep individual contributor position focused on hands-on engineering, field execution, and sustainment rather than people management or strategic program leadership. The successful candidate is fluent in the IDS and ACS technical requirements of ICD-705 / IC Tech Spec v1.5.1 Chapters 7 and 8, has commissioned secured space security systems through final acceptance testing under the review of an Accrediting Official (AO), and has owned the semi-annual testing, false alarm investigation, and corrective maintenance of those systems through the operational life of an accreditation. The ideal candidate will bridge technical security requirements with tangible solutions, ensuring the highest level of physical protection for Anduril's assets and personnel, while ensuring compliance with all government directives. Your expertise will be critical in designing, building, procuring, maintaining, and continually enhancing our technical security systems and programs to protect company assets and personnel.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead the technical design of IDS and ACS for new secured space construction and renovation projects in accordance with ICD-705/IC Tech Spec v1.5.1 Chapters 7 and 8, the IDS and monitoring provisions of 32 CFR 117.15, and the implementing guidance of the cognizant AO.
  • Conduct site surveys, risk assessments, and gap analyses for both new construction and existing accredited spaces; produce sensor coverage drawings, riser diagrams, conduit and conveyance routing per ICD-705 7.A.2.e, line security and encryption provisions per FIPS 140-2 and FIPS 197, and submittal packages suitable for AO review and inclusion in the Construction Security Plan.
  • Author and maintain Anduril’s technical standards, drawing details, and bills of material for ICD-705 IDS and ACS installations, including UL 634 Level II High Security Switches (HSS), UL 639 motion detection sensors, Premise Control Units (PCUs), tamper protection, and Extent 3 installation per UL 2050.
  • Specify, validate, and lifecycle-manage the approved hardware platforms, including systems such as Lenel OnGuard, Genetec, DMP, Bosch, and others.
  • Coordinate with the AO, CSSO, ISSM, and Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA) throughout commissioning; produce final acceptance test reports as part of the accreditation package; serve as Anduril’s technical point of contact during AO inspections and recurring re-accreditation reviews.
  • Drive cutover and turnover from the integrator to Anduril’s operations team, including as-built documentation, commissioning records, key variable and password handover.
  • Collaborate with the CSSO for the semi-annual IDS test program, including scheduling, execution, evidence collection, deficiency tracking, and retention of records.
  • Investigate every false alarm at the partition level, drive root cause to resolution.
  • Establish and operate a corrective and preventive maintenance program.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for technical security system operations, maintenance, alarm response, and emergency conditions, in coordination with the Industrial and Special Program security team, and aligned to the SOP topics enumerated in ICD-705.
  • Hold integrators accountable for as-built quality, line security configuration, encryption settings, and documentation completeness.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of progressive security experience, preferably within a multi-national corporation or Federal entity.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and enforce technical security policies and procedures for classified environments.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and construction teams.
  • Adept at working in a fast-paced environment and making sound decisions in challenging situations.
  • Must be a U.S. Person and able to gain a security clearance due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of experience in technical security systems, with a strong focus on access control, and intrusion detection.
  • Professional certifications such as PSP (Physical Security Professional) or CPP (Certified Protection Professional).
  • Strong project management skills and extensive experience with large-scale technical security system implementations and upgrades.

Form CC-305

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
