About the Role:

The Senior Director of Finance Systems is a trusted business partner who supports the Finance & Accounting Organization, drives operational excellence, innovates, and delivers business results at Angi. You have a deep knowledge of financial operations processes as well as finance technology and architecture. Reporting into the Chief Accounting Officer, you will lead a small distributed team composed of business systems analysts and administrators and partner with the IT engineering team to look after the Finance technology stack. The team is distributed across the United States.

You have seen what “good” looks like at scale in terms of both processes and technology. You are a creative thinker, collaborative, a problem solver, and you find ways to continuously improve. You challenge the status quo and do not accept the answer, “because it has always been this way”, while supporting executives in making challenging and complex decisions that enable Angi to achieve strategic objectives.

This is a remote role based in the United States.

What you will do:

  • Build and lead a high-performing FinanceTech team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Define and execute against a rolling twelve-month roadmap for Finance & Accounting and provide visibility into a 24-month planning horizon that aligns with business objectives and supports long-term scalability.
  • Manage stakeholders; Be an integral member of the Finance & Accounting Leadership Team and act as the trusted technology advisor; Facilitate discussions with key stakeholders across functions and levels, advise on technology and process maturity, potential tradeoffs, scope creep, and provide implementation options
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of solutions across: Financial Planning and Analysis, Procure to Pay, Expense Management, Record to Report, and Order to Cash
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce operational overhead.
  • Be a thought leader in driving productivity through AI, RPA and automations across the full systems and processes landscape.
  • Remain connected to the broader finance technology community and incorporate best practices and new product offerings into Angi
  • Ensure integration between finance systems and other platforms (e.g., CRM, payroll processing systems, data warehouses)
  • Continuously evaluate the technology stack to determine where to build, buy/customize, replace
  • Play a key role in driving effective change management and communication on technical delivery to non-technical audiences, explaining the “what”, the “how”, and the “why”
  • Partner with key vendors to ensure best-in-class system implementations, including appropriate levels of customization and integration
  • Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements and ensure audit readiness across all systems, collaborate with IT Compliance teams to uphold controls and mitigate risks
  • Implement project metrics to hold teams accountable

Who you are

  • Strong leadership, program management and project management skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional initiatives
  • 10+ years of experience in a Finance Transformation, IT business systems, business operations, product management, or a consulting role responsible for driving finance service delivery
  • 5+ years of experience in people management, including at least 3 years of FinanceTech leadership
  • Proven track record of strategic and tactical leadership that drive business growth and efficiency. Has successfully implemented, optimized and integrated ERP platforms and related enterprise financial systems & tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of core finance processes, including Forecasting, Quote to Cash, Record to Report, Procure to Pay
  • Able to communicate effectively with both C-suite, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to conceptualize and sell ideas internally and attain win-win outcomes
  • Proven track record of building effective relationships with Executives and senior leadership
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously that have fluctuating requirements, and time-sensitive deadlines

Compensation & Benefits

  • The salary band for this position ranges $190,000 - $250,000 commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living. 
  • This position will be eligible for a competitive year end performance bonus & equity package.
