Position Summary


The Accounting Manager will report to and support the Finance Director, in strengthening and scaling the company’s accounting function in preparation for IPO readiness. This individual will mainly be responsible for monthly financial statements consolidation under IFRS , assisting Sr. Accounting manager in clinical trial and contract manufacturing accruals, audit preparation, while also participating ERP implementation as a key user, audit readiness, and the development of scalable internal controls. The role will collaborate closely with global finance teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency across accounting practices. This is a hands-on, highly collaborative position suited for someone who is a rapid learner and willing to face challenge requirements, and is motivated to help build the financial infrastructure needed for continued growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist Sr. Accounting Manager in clinical trial and contract manufacturing accruals to ensure timely and accurate reporting of R&D expenses;
  • Participate in monthly closing process to ensure the consolidated financial statements meet different accounting principles and requirements;
  • Support share-based compensation calculation under IFRS;
  • Participate in procure-to-pay operations, including purchase order review, invoice processing, and vendor payments;
  • Support month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis;
  • Review journal entries for under different accounting principles and requirements;
  • Support the implementation of a new ERP system, including testing, data migration, and process improvements;
  • Assist audit preparation, including documentation, reconciliations, and support to external auditors;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  • 7 years of accounting experience including at least 4 years in big 4 audit firms is a must, with audit clients in biotech, pharmaceutical, or a related industry preferred;
  • Broad accounting experience across key functions such as month-end close, clinical accruals and intercompany consolidation;
  • CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred;
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with US GAAP is a plus;
  • Experience with HKEx reporting, internal control compliance, public company regulatory frameworks, and audit preparation preferred;
  • Highly proficient in Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and financial reporting tools;
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and global finance teams;
  • Demonstrated attention to details and obsession with accuracy;
  • Fluent in English reading and writing.
