Position Summary 

We are seeking a short-term part-time Supply Chain Specialist to support clinical and CMC logistics across China, as well as from China to ROW. This role is based in our Guangzhou office and requires onsite presence to ensure seamless coordination with vendors, CDMOs, and internal stakeholders. This person will manage domestic shipments, export documentation and shipment, and logistics troubleshooting to maintain supply continuity and compliance for clinical programs.  Scope also includes performing shipments of non-clinical/non-GMP product and materials. 

This is a tactical, execution-focused role ideal for professionals with hands-on logistics experience and familiarity with China customs and export operations. This person will work closely with global teams and may support multiple concurrent campaigns.

Key Responsibilities 
 

Logistics & Shipment Coordination 

  • Arrange domestic shipments of drug substance, drug product, packaging materials, and other relevant activities within China 
  • Coordinate export shipments to global destinations, ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements 
  • Liaise with couriers, brokers, and CDMOs to negotiate shipping contracts, and to troubleshoot delays and ensure timely delivery 
  • Work with internal team (e.g., Legal, Finance) to process logistic contracts 
  • Track shipments and maintain accurate records of delivery timelines and deviations 

Documentation & Compliance 

  • Prepare and manage customs documentation, shipping manifests, and export declarations, ensure all documentation meets regulatory and audit standards 
  • Process shipping and logistics quotes, contracts and keep accurate documentation of costs and payments 
  • Support cold chain logistics and controlled substance handling as needed 
  • Maintain trackers for shipment status, documentation, and deviation resolution 

Vendor & CDMO Support 

  • Communicate with CDMOs and vendors to confirm pickup details, packaging readiness, and labeling accuracy 
  • Escalate issues related to shipment delays, documentation gaps, or vendor performance 
  • Assist in collecting and organizing transport-related documents for internal and external stakeholders 

Stakeholder Communication 

  • Provide timely updates to internal stakeholders on shipment progress, delays, and resolution plans, maintain clear and consistent communication to ensure alignment on logistics timelines and deliverables 
  • Support weekly reporting and ad hoc updates to global supply chain leadership, complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

文件与合规管理 

  • 准备和管理海关单证、运输清单及出口申报文件,确保所有文件符合法规及审计要求 
  • 处理运输与物流报价、合同,并准确记录成本与付款信息 
  • 根据需要支持冷链物流及受控物质处理 
  • 维护货物状态、文件及偏差解决的跟踪记录 

供应商与CDMO支持 

  • 与CDMO及供应商沟通,确认提货细节、包装准备及标签准确性 
  • 及时上报与运输延误、文件缺失或供应商表现相关的问题 
  • 协助收集并整理与运输相关的文件,供内外部相关方使用 

相关方沟通 

  • 向内部相关方及时更新运输进展、延误情况及解决方案,保持清晰、一致的沟通,确保物流时间线和交付目标协同一致 
  • 支持向全球供应链领导层提供每周报告及临时动态更新,完成上级安排的其它工作事项。 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Life Sciences, or related field preferred 
  • 3–5 years of experience in supply chain or logistics, with strong exposure to China domestic and export operations,experience supporting GxP environments, including clinical supply chain operations highly preferred 
  • Familiarity with China customs processes, export documentation, and courier coordination 
  • Proficient in Excel and shipment tracking tools 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment 
  • Mandarin fluency required; written English proficiency required, oral English proficiency preferred for cross-functional communication 
  • Flexibility to coordinate with global stakeholders across time zones
