Senior Director of Marketing, Consulting Business

Vancouver

Location: Vancouver, BC    |    Employment Type: Full-Time    |    Reports to: CMO

Reporting to the CMO, we're looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Director of Marketing, Consulting Business to lead the brand and thought leadership strategy for Reach3 Insights and Angus Reid Group. In this role, you'll develop and execute high-impact marketing programs that elevate both brands, showcase our expertise, and strengthen credibility with key audiences across industries.

This role is ONLY open to candidates based in Vancouver, BC with a hybrid working model designed to support connection, focused work, and real life outside of work.

About Angus Reid

Angus Reid is a full-service market research and data services firm with offices across Canada and the United States. For decades, we've been at the forefront of the insights industry — helping organizations make better, faster, and smarter decisions through trusted analysis and proprietary research panels across North America.

We conduct studies globally, delivering actionable insights and modern solutions tailored to our clients' toughest challenges.

As part of Rival Group — alongside Rival Technologies and Reach3 Insights — we combine deep research expertise with AI-accelerated conversational insights and a collaborative culture where all voices are heard, creativity is welcomed, and great ideas can come from anywhere.

What you’ll own

Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute the marketing strategy for Reach3 Insights and Angus Reid Group, aligned with each brand’s growth priorities and market positioning.
  • Build and maintain brand equity through consistent, high-quality thought leadership and storytelling.
  • Partner with senior business leaders and consultants to identify marketing opportunities and amplify insights-led content.
  • Manage external agencies, freelancers, and contractors to deliver on key priorities efficiently and at a high standard.
  • Collaborate closely with the broader central marketing team to ensure brand alignment and leverage shared resources where appropriate.

Content & Thought Leadership

  • Lead the creation of content that reinforces brand authority — including blogs, ebooks, white papers, POV articles, social posts, and customer case studies.
  • Translate proprietary research and consulting expertise into clear, marketable insights and storylines that differentiate the brands.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to co-develop thought leadership assets that reflect each business’s unique perspective on evolving market trends.
  • Maintain editorial excellence and ensure brand consistency across all channels.

Digital Presence & Campaign Execution

  • Oversee the brands’ digital presence, including website, SEO, and social media, ensuring consistent messaging and strong engagement.
  • Develop and execute email marketing and nurture campaigns designed to drive awareness, influence, and credibility — not volume-based lead generation.
  • Use analytics to measure the reach and impact of campaigns, optimizing for visibility and influence within target audiences.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the central marketing partner for senior consulting leaders across multiple business units, managing diverse needs, priorities, and expectations.
  • Coordinate messaging and content development across multiple stakeholders to maintain clarity and alignment.
  • Build strong internal relationships that foster collaboration and ensure marketing is tightly connected to business strategy and client delivery.

What you bring

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience within consulting, professional services, market research, or a closely related organization.
  • A proven track record of building brand authority and thought leadership programs that elevate market presence and influence.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizations and competing priorities.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, including the ability to turn insights and intellectual capital into compelling narratives.
  • Experience managing agencies, freelancers, and contractors to deliver high-quality work on time and on budget.
  • Hands-on experience with content marketing, SEO, social media, email marketing, and digital campaign best practices.
  • A strategic mindset with a bias for action and comfortable moving between big-picture strategy and detailed execution.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the market research, consumer insights, or research consulting industry.
