We’re looking for a Qualitative Project Manager to join the Angus Reid Group team. This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in market research, gain hands-on experience across the full research cycle, and learn directly from some of the industry’s leading experts while working with top brands.

About Angus Reid Group

Angus Reid Group (ARG) is a full-service market research and data services powerhouse with offices in Canada and the United States. For decades, we’ve been at the forefront of innovation in the insights industry — helping organizations make better, faster, and smarter business decisions 💡.

We own and operate proprietary research panels across North America and conduct studies globally, delivering actionable insights and trusted analysis. Our clients include leading brands and agencies who rely on us to provide modern, optimized solutions tailored to their toughest challenges.

At ARG, we combine research excellence with a collaborative culture where all voices are heard and creativity thrives.

As a Qualitative Project Manager, you will support methodologies such as in-depth interviews (IDIs), focus groups, and online discussion boards (ODBs), ensuring seamless planning and delivery for both internal teams and research participants, from screener programming through to session execution and incentive fulfillment.

As a Qualitative Project Manager at Angus Reid Group, you will:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to define recruitment criteria, sample sources, timelines, and session logistics for qualitative research projects.
  • Support screener development by reviewing for clarity, logic, and feasibility; flag any issues and coordinate with Research or Operations teams to finalize.
  • Manage participant recruitment using client lists, panel sample, or third-party sources; monitor quotas and review screener responses to confirm participant eligibility.
  • Coordinate participant scheduling, send communications and reminders, and manage rescheduling or dropouts as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain participant trackers, grids, and schedules to support internal teams and session moderators.
  • Provide day-of-session support for qualitative research (e.g., IDIs, focus groups, ODBs), including managing participant check-ins and resolving last-minute issues.
  • Document and track incentive distribution in coordination with the incentives team.
  • Liaise with external recruiters, research platforms, and fieldwork vendors as required.
  • Support additional research operations on an as-needed basis, including quantitative project coordination and Brand Ambassador sourcing.
  • Maintain a high standard of participant experience, communication, and data accuracy across all projects.

This may be the right opportunity for you if you have:

  • 2+ years of experience in qualitative research coordination, participant management, or research operations.
  • Familiarity with qualitative research methods such as IDIs, focus groups, and online discussion boards.
  • Experience supporting screener reviews, managing recruitment sources, and tracking quota fulfillment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and participant-friendly approach.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Calendly, Zoom, and familiarity with platforms like Recollective or similar.
  • Attention to detail when managing participant logistics, scheduling, and session readiness.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g., recruiters, platform providers).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. A self-starter who doesn’t wait to be told what to do; you take initiative, stay curious, and bring ideas to the table to help move projects forward.
  • Flexible and proactive, with a willingness to support a range of research initiatives beyond qualitative when needed.
