Technical Manager (RTW)

ANINE BING is looking for a Technical Manager (Ready to Wear) to join its Product Development team based in Paris.

This role is responsible for ensuring the technical integrity, fit, and quality of ready to wear products, working closely with design, production, and merchandising teams to bring each collection to life.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled technical expert with deep knowledge of fabric behavior, garment construction, and manufacturing processes specific to denim, jersey, and knitwear. They are detail-oriented, solutions-driven, and passionate about delivering impeccable products that meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee the development and technical execution of ready to wear products, ensuring alignment with design intent and brand quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough fit sessions and quality checks to address technical issues related to construction, fabric performance, and wearability.
  • Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, including spec sheets and construction guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Design, Merchandising, and Production teams to streamline processes and meet production timelines.
  • Manage vendor and factory communication, ensuring clear technical guidance and adherence to brand standards.
  • Stay up to date on material innovations, finishing techniques, and sustainability practices to enhance product quality and performance.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical or product development role specializing in RTW.
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field preferred.
  • Expertise in garment construction, fabric properties, and wash/finishing techniques for RTW.
  • Proficiency in technical design software (Adobe Illustrator, PLM systems) and ability to create and manage technical specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate and resolve production challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage factory relationships.
  • Fluent in English and French.
