Sr. Copywriter (Freelance)
ANINE BING is looking for a Senior Freelance Copywriter to join its Creative Team in Los Angeles.
We’re seeking a seasoned storyteller and strategic thinker with a sharp editorial eye and a deep understanding of fashion and lifestyle branding. In this role, you'll take the lead in crafting elevated, brand-right copy across digital and print touchpoints—from product descriptions and emails to campaign narratives and conceptual storytelling.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Art Director and broader creative team to ensure every word reflects the ANINE BING voice—refined, confident, and distinct. This role requires someone who can move seamlessly between tactical and conceptual work, balancing brand consistency with fresh, forward-thinking ideas.
Responsibilities Include:
- Own the end-to-end development of copy across digital and print assets, including product descriptions, email campaigns, SMS, social media, web, and paid media.
- Lead storytelling and narrative development for seasonal campaigns, product launches, and larger brand moments.
- Champion and evolve the ANINE BING voice across all touchpoints, ensuring consistency while finding space for creative expression.
- Collaborate closely with the Art Director and cross-functional teams (Marketing, E-commerce, Merchandising, etc.) to concept and execute integrated campaigns.
- Review and refine copy to ensure clarity, precision, and polish—adhering to both brand and business objectives.
- Contribute strategically to the ideation process, bringing a strong point of view and collaborative energy to brainstorms and creative reviews.
- Edit and proofread copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and polish across all deliverables.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of relevant writing experience across fashion, lifestyle, or editorial—agency or in-house.
- A portfolio that demonstrates a range of work—from product copy and email to brand campaigns and elevated storytelling.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and conceptual skills with a deep understanding of tone, style, and narrative structure.
- Proven ability to uphold and evolve a brand voice with consistency across channels.
- Comfortable owning projects independently while collaborating fluidly with designers and marketers.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive—someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creatively ambitious environment.
- Deep passion for fashion, branding, and modern cultural storytelling.
