Managing Stylist - Meatpacking
ANINE BING is looking for a Managing Stylist to join our Meatpacking location in New York.
The Managing Stylist is the ultimate ambassador for ANINE BING, leading by example on the sales floor while ensuring the store operates smoothly, meets performance goals, and delivers an elevated and consistent brand experience.
This role blends hands-on styling, clienteling, and sales leadership with operational ownership and team support, acting as the primary point of accountability for the store’s day-to-day success.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide best-in-class service to customers in store and digitally through personalized styling and relationship selling
- Lead by example on the sales floor, driving client engagement, appointment selling, and repeat business
- Build, maintain, and actively grow a personal client book through outreach and follow-up
- Own the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring operational standards and expectations are consistently met
- Support inventory management, online fulfillment, stock organization, and general store functionality
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually compelling store environment aligned with brand standards
- Support visual merchandising directives and ensure strong presentation of product
- Act as the in-store leader and primary point of contact when needed
- Support onboarding, coaching, and development of Stylists
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and goal-driven team environment
- Provide feedback and insight on clientele, product performance, and business needs to retail leadership
- Support store events, partnerships, and community engagement initiatives
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of fashion, styling, or retail experience
- Experience in clienteling and working in a goal-driven sales environment
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Ability to balance sales leadership with operational responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable using retail technology and basic reporting tools
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the store during shifts
- Ability to meet physical demands, including but not limited to: standing and walking for extended periods; frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and climbing ladders; lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; moving merchandise and fixtures; operating POS systems; and performing all essential job functions in a fast-paced retail environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
The target compensation for this role is between $25 - $33 per hour and includes eligibility for a generous commission structure
