Position:

The Associate Director of Investor Relations at Annexon Biosciences will play a crucial role in developing and executing the investor relations strategy while strengthening relationships with the investment community. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this individual will serve as a primary contact for investors and analysts, collaborating closely with the executive team to effectively communicate Annexon’s strategic goals and long-term value proposition.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy in alignment with corporate objectives, in partnership with the executive leadership team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, shareholders, sell-side analysts, and other investment community members.
  • Serve as the primary contact for investor and analyst inquiries, ensuring timely and consistent communication.
  • Refine corporate messaging and investment thesis to clearly convey the company’s strategy and milestones to investors.
  • Translate scientific, clinical, and regulatory information into compelling messages for the investment community.
  • Lead investor communications around clinical and corporate milestones, including data readouts and regulatory interactions.
  • Prepare executive leadership for investor meetings, earnings calls, and other external engagements.
  • Develop an active investor engagement calendar, including conferences, roadshows, and one-on-one meetings.
  • Monitor market trends, shareholder composition, and provide feedback regarding investor perceptions to senior leadership.
  • Manage relationships with sell-side analysts and ensure compliance with securities regulations in partnership with Legal and Finance.
  • Oversee the investor relations section of the corporate website and key IR materials.
  • Manage external investor relations resources as appropriate.

Education, Experience, and Skills: 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degrees in life sciences, finance, business, or a related discipline preferred. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, investor relations, or related fields, with direct experience at a public biotech or pharmaceutical company preferred.
  • Strong understanding of clinical development and ability to communicate complex data to healthcare investors.
  • Established relationships with the biotechnology investment community, including institutional investors and analysts, preferred.
  • Success in developing investor targeting strategies and building relationships with the investment community.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for developing investor-facing materials.
  • Strong executive presence and interpersonal skills for effective representation with external stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, with the ability to work across various functions and levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, strategic, and able to operate independently while supporting senior leadership.

Salary Range: $185,000 - $220,000

Location: Annexon Biosciences is located in Brisbane, California and preference is given to candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
