This is the perfect role for an engineer who wants to prototype quickly, loves building delightful products, and wants to work in a fast-paced startup environment where they can have a wide-reaching impact. We are looking for a test engineer that is excited to work with the design team as we quickly iterate on product requirements and build our first prototypes.

  • Work with the design team to identify testing and benchmarking opportunities and then build test plans to execute.
  • Help design and build custom test setups to quickly enable design decisions.
  • Support initial manufacturing test work as we perform vendor selection and then begin the NPI process.
  • Create clear, comprehensive documentation for test procedures and results that can scale with us as we graduate from R&D to NPI.
  • Assist design team with system validation and debugging efforts during prototype hardware bring-up and development.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in test engineering with a background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar technical field.
  • Proven experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, thermocouples, DACs) and hardware-in-the-loop testing using embedded systems.
  • Proven experience to take technical requirements and generate a test plan to validate a design.
  • Demonstrated programming skills for test automation (e.g. Aurdiuno, Labview, Python).
  • Excellent documentation abilities and attention to detail in testing procedures.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and technical communication

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with automated test development in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with generating reliability test plans, interpreting testing results and performing failure analysis on consumer electronics.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary + generous equity.
  • 100% health/dental/vision premium coverage + 70% premium coverage for dependents.
  • 401(k) plan.
  • Take-what-you-need unmetered vacation policy.

Annual Salary Range

$125,000 - $150,000/year
