The Professional Education Manager is a newly created role within Global Medical Affairs responsible for developing and delivering physician education programs that advance scientific understanding of DurAVR® THV and support readiness for potential future launches, subject to applicable regulatory approvals.

Reporting to the Global Medical Affairs Senior Director, this role manages key opinion leader (KOL) faculty engagement, Speakers Bureau operations, congress education, and curriculum development. Working closely with Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Compliance, this person ensures education is scientifically accurate, relevant to healthcare professionals, and appropriate to the product’s regulatory status in each market.

The ideal candidate combines cardiovascular scientific knowledge with experience managing physician education programs and translating complex clinical evidence into engaging, practical learning.

Location: Remote role based in North America (US or Canada) or Europe (France, Germany, UK, Netherlands, or Switzerland).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Scientific Expertise and Content Development
•    Develop a thorough understanding of DurAVR, ADAPT technology, valve hemodynamics, flow restoration science, and the PARADIGM clinical trial.
•    Develop and maintain healthcare professional (HCP) educational content aligned with the Medical Affairs evidence strategy and applicable review and approval processes.
•    Prepare KOL faculty and other HCP presenters to discuss relevant scientific evidence at congresses, advisory boards, and investigator meetings.
•    Stay current on structural heart research, TAVR clinical evidence, and emerging approaches to evaluating valve performance and patient outcomes.
•    Partner with Medical Affairs colleagues to ensure educational materials accurately communicate available evidence, its limitations, and the product’s regulatory status.

Speakers Bureau and Faculty Engagement
•    Manage day-to-day operations of the Anteris Speakers Bureau, including faculty coordination, scheduling, presentation review, speaker preparation, and post-program follow-up.
•    Build productive relationships with physician faculty and collaborate with Medical Affairs leadership to identify educational needs and appropriate speakers.
•    Coordinate with Compliance and relevant internal partners to ensure required contracts, fair market value assessments, and approvals are completed before engagements.
•    Maintain timely and accurate engagement records and support applicable transfers of value reporting and disclosure requirements.
•    Track program reach, faculty engagement, participant feedback, and educational effectiveness to guide improvements.

Congress Education
•    Lead planning and execution of Anteris professional education activities at major cardiovascular congresses, including TCT, EuroPCR, NY Valves, ESC, CRT, and EACTS.
•    Collaborate with the Global Medical Affairs Senior Director and KOL faculty to develop relevant symposia, workshops, and case-based education.
•    Manage the congress education calendar, speaker assignments, content development timelines, and program readiness.
•    Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to deliver well-organized programs that meet scientific, operational, and compliance expectations.
•    Collect and evaluate participant feedback to improve future programming.

Curriculum and Digital Education
•    Develop and maintain the annual Professional Education Plan, including learning objectives, target audiences, program formats, digital education priorities, and congress activities.
•    Design educational modules addressing valve hemodynamics, flow restoration science, patient–prosthesis mismatch, and clinical trial design and evidence.
•    Develop digital learning approaches, including webinars, e-learning, and online case libraries, to extend access beyond live events.
•    Work with the Associate Director of Medical Affairs to align educational programming with the publication pipeline, emerging evidence, and faculty needs.
•    Adapt educational content for regional audiences and the product’s regulatory status in each market.
•    Establish measures of learning, engagement, and program effectiveness to inform future education priorities.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

Required
•    Bachelor’s degree in a clinical, life science, or related discipline.
•    10+ years of relevant experience in medical affairs, professional education, clinical education, or a related medical device function, including direct responsibility for physician education programs.
•    Experience coordinating physician faculty or speaker programs in a regulated medical device environment.
•    Strong scientific literacy in cardiovascular medicine, with the ability to interpret clinical evidence and discuss valve performance, hemodynamics, and clinical trial design with physician faculty.
•    Demonstrated ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, engaging educational content.
•    Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs, stakeholders, and deadlines.
•    Understanding of HCP engagement compliance, including contracting, fair market value, applicable transparency reporting, and regional industry codes.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
•    Ability to travel approximately 30–40%, including internationally for congresses, faculty engagements, and investigator meetings.

Preferred
•    Advanced degree in a clinical or life science discipline, such as an MSc, MPH, PhD, PharmD, or MD.
•    Experience in structural heart therapies or TAVR.
•    Direct experience managing a physician Speakers Bureau.
•    Experience supporting education during pivotal medical device trials or preparation for market authorization and launch.
•    Familiarity with TAVR clinical and hemodynamic measures, including effective orifice area, mean pressure gradient, patient–prosthesis mismatch, and ventricular remodeling.
•    Experience developing digital education programs or applying adult learning principles to HCP education.
•    Experience with speaker management, congress planning, or customer relationship management platforms.
•    Proficiency in an additional European language, particularly French, German, or Dutch.
