Salary: $57,500–$70,000 annually (based on experience)
About the Opportunity
AnthroMed Education is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join a welcoming and collaborative school team in Merrillville, Indiana. This full-time position serves students in an intermediate school setting (Grades 5–6), helping students strengthen their communication skills so they can succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced educators and related service providers while providing individualized and group therapy services that make a meaningful impact on students' educational success.
Caseload Details
- Provide speech-language services to students in an intermediate school serving Grades 5–6.
- Support students with a variety of communication needs, including articulation, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic language disorders.
- Deliver therapy in individual and small group settings based on students' IEP goals.
- Conduct evaluations, complete reevaluations, and contribute to eligibility determinations.
- Opportunity to build strong relationships with students while promoting confidence, independence, and academic growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and interpret assessment results.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each student's IEP goals.
- Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy services.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support student success.
- Attend IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state and district requirements.
- Participate in RTI/MTSS initiatives and provide consultation when appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with all special education timelines and documentation requirements.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Indiana Speech-Language Pathology License (or eligibility to obtain).
- Indiana Department of Education certification (or ability to obtain) preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- School-based experience is preferred but not required.
- Clinical Fellows and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
