We’re hiring a School Social Worker to support students in a unique high school program serving grades 9–12. This school takes a proactive, relationship-centered approach to student support, with a strong focus on rapport building, conflict mediation, family engagement, and helping students thrive without relying on traditional disciplinary practices.
- Location: Washington, DC
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Status: Full-Time, On-Site
- Salary: $70,000–$90,000
What You’ll Do:
- Support approximately 10 students on your caseload while building relationships with the broader student population
- Provide proactive support around student behavior, social-emotional needs, and conflict
- Facilitate and support conflict mediation and restorative conversations
- Build strong relationships with students, families, and school staff
- Lead family engagement efforts
- Track student data and monitor progress
- Collaborate with the school team to support students with emotional and behavioral needs
- Provide support beyond required IEP service minutes

Qualifications:
- LICSW strongly preferred
- School Services Personnel (SSP) credential strongly preferred
- LGSW candidates may be considered
- Experience working with students with emotional/behavioral needs is highly valued
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
