Location: Fox Lake, IL
Grade Level: 9th–12th Grade + Transition
Start Date: November 16
Duration: November 16 – December 18, with potential extension past winter break
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite | FMLA Coverage
Salary Range: $60,000–$80,000 annually

About the Opportunity

AnthroMed Education is partnering with a supportive educational organization to welcome a full-time School Social Worker for an FMLA coverage position serving high school and transition-aged students. This onsite opportunity will support students across both a high school building and a transition program, with a combination of group work, individual student support, and social-emotional services.

The assignment is currently expected to run from November 16 through December 18, with the possibility of extending beyond winter break depending on the district’s needs.

What You’ll Do

• Provide school-based social work services to students in grades 9–12 and transition programs

• Spend two days per week at the transition building running groups and providing 1:1 student support as needed

• Spend three days per week at the high school building running two groups and providing general social-emotional support

• Provide support to students within the high school’s Emotional Disabilities (ED) program

• Support approximately four students within the ED high school program

• Respond to general student crisis needs and provide on-call support at the high school

• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and related service providers

• Participate in student support and interdisciplinary team meetings as needed

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Caseload Details

• Students in grades 9–12 plus transition-aged students

• Two days per week at the transition building

• Three days per week at the high school building

• Run groups and provide individual student support

• Provide general social-emotional support

• Support approximately four students in the high school ED program

• Provide on-call coverage for general crisis needs at the high school

• Full-time FMLA coverage position

• Specific daily schedule and lunch period to be confirmed

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program

• Active Illinois Social Work License (IDFPR)

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Ability to provide effective social-emotional and crisis support in a school-based environment

• Experience working with high school and/or transition-aged students preferred
