Head of Enablement Experience & Innovation

San Francisco, CA | New York City, NY

About Anthropic

Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.

About the role

Anthropic's sales organization is growing quickly across segments, industries, and geographies, and enablement needs to be reinvented to keep up. We are looking for a Head of Enablement Experience & Innovation to build the next generation of enablement with a Claude-first approach: hyper-personalized for each seller, delivered in the flow of work, and measured by what it changes.

Most sales enablement still runs on courses, content libraries, and one-size-fits-all programs. You will start instead from what Claude makes possible: understanding what sellers need, designing experiences around their role, tenure, and live deals, and bringing the right guidance into the tools where they already work. This is a rare chance to define what enablement looks like when it is built on the product we sell.

This is a leadership role for an innovator with deep expertise in using AI for enablement and a background in user experience design, product management, or workflow design. You have shipped experiences at scale and can show that people used them and performed better. You will start as an individual contributor, set direction, and build a team over time, staying close enough to the field to know when something is not working.

Key responsibilities:

  • Set the vision and roadmap for a Claude-first approach to enablement, deciding what to build, what to retire, and how enablement is designed and delivered

  • Use Claude to tailor learning to each seller's role, tenure, and live deals

  • Design workflows that bring guidance to sellers in the tools they already use, at the moment they need it

  • Lead the learning platform, enablement tools, playbooks, and content hub, using Claude to keep knowledge accurate, current, and easy to find

  • Run enablement like a product: lead discovery with sellers and sales leaders, work with engineering and design, and test on live deals before scaling

  • Track adoption and the impact on ramp time, win rate, and attainment, and act on what the data shows

  • Partner with Sales Leadership, Revenue Operations, Product, Marketing, and the wider Sales Enablement team so that programs, systems, and workflows feel like one experience

  • Run fast experiments with new Claude capabilities, scale what works, and set clear standards for responsible AI use and data governance in enablement

Minimum qualifications:

  • Deep, hands-on expertise using AI to design and deliver enablement or learning at scale, such as personalized learning, AI coaching, or guidance in daily workflows

  • Background in user experience design, product management, or workflow design, applied to enablement, learning, or sales tools

  • Have led the design and launch of a product or learning experience at scale, and can show how adoption and results changed

  • Have worked directly with senior sales leaders and frontline managers to secure sponsorship for change, including holding a position constructively when they disagreed

  • Have tested and improved programs with sellers and sales leaders before scaling them

  • Have defined and tracked adoption and impact measures that go beyond completion and satisfaction scores

  • Have run programs across multiple geographies, segments, or roles

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building and leading a team of senior enablement professionals, and comfort delivering hands-on until you have one

  • A clear, experience-based view of why learning programs often fail to change how sellers work

  • Prior experience in a sales or customer-facing role

  • Experience at an AI company or an enterprise technology company during a period of rapid sales team scaling

  • Hands-on experience building with Claude or similar AI tools to personalize learning or improve how people find knowledge

  • Clear written and spoken communication with executive audiences

  • Experience selecting and running learning platforms and enablement tools

The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.

For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.

Annual Salary:

$310,000 - $360,000 USD

Logistics

Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience

Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience

Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position

Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.

Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.

We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed.  Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.

Your safety matters to us. To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit anthropic.com/careers directly for confirmed position openings.

How we're different

We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.

The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

Agreement to Arbitrate

I understand and agree that both Anthropic and I waive our respective rights to trial by jury in connection with any claims covered by this agreement to arbitrate. Instead, any disputes arising out of or related to my application for employment with Anthropic shall be settled by final and binding arbitration pursuant to the Federal Arbitration Act. I understand and agree that Anthropic’s employees/agents, Anthropic’s clients, and their employees/agents are third-party beneficiaries to this agreement.

The arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with the Employment Arbitration Rules & Procedures of Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services, Inc. (“JAMS Rules”), available via the internet at https://www.jamsadr.com/rules-employment-arbitration or by searching for “JAMS Employment Arbitration Rules” in an online search service such as www.google.com. To the extent the JAMS Rules are inconsistent with the terms of this Agreement, this Agreement shall govern to the extent permitted by law. The parties will select one neutral arbitrator, who will have the authority to award all relief in law or equity that is requested by the parties and supported by credible, relevant, and admissible evidence. The arbitrator shall allow adequate discovery and issue a written, signed, and reasoned award. Judgement may be entered on the arbitrator’s award in any court having jurisdiction, and the award shall be subject to correction, confirmation, or vacation as provided by the applicable law concerning judicial review of arbitration awards. Anthropic will bear the costs that are particular to the arbitration, such as the arbitrator fees. The arbitrator will apply the substantive law of the state in which I sought employment with Anthropic. The arbitrator will determine the arbitration venue, based on fairness and convenience to the parties and witnesses, unless otherwise mutually agreed upon by the parties. The Party initiating a claim under this Agreement must make a written demand for arbitration to the other Party. The demand for arbitration shall identify the claims asserted, the facts upon which such claims are based, and any relief or remedy sought. Written demand for arbitration to Anthropic must be sent to Anthropic PBC at arbdemands@anthropic.com. Anthropic’s demand for arbitration shall be sent to the most recent mailing address and/or email address that Anthropic has on file for you.

This agreement to arbitrate does not apply to claims for workers’ compensation, unemployment compensation benefits, claims or charges before any administrative agency having jurisdiction over such claims, or any other claim that is not subject to arbitration under federal law. If any claims are deemed non-arbitrable, then those claims will be stayed until resolution of any arbitrable claims.

I understand and agree that, except where prohibited by federal law, all claims subject to this agreement to arbitrate must be pursued on an individual basis, and that both I and Anthropic waive any right to bring or be a party to any class or collective action. I agree that any issues pertaining to the enforceability, application or validity of this agreement to arbitrate shall be decided only by a court of competent jurisdiction and not by an arbitrator. This agreement to arbitrate applies only in the United States.
