Product Engineer

New York City

We Start Where Others Stop

For 50 years, abstractions around compute have followed an irreversible law: systems must handle complexity so humans don’t have to. We stopped writing assembly code. We abandoned physical servers. And yet, engineers still waste 30% of their time managing infrastructure—debugging YAML files, tweaking scaling policies, patching Kubernetes clusters.

Infrastructure remains stubbornly complex. The systems we rely on to keep software running are still deeply manual, brittle, and expensive to maintain. But a paradigm shift is now possible.

When maintenance disappears, builders can finally build.

Role

As a Product Engineer at Antimetal, you will take on a high level of ownership of our frontend, from UX architecture to implementation, build highly interactive interfaces, and dip into other parts of the stack to unblock product development.

We’re looking for an experienced product-minded engineer who thrives in an environment where engineers have a strong voice in product decisions, while collaborating tightly with design to prototype and implement high fidelity mockups. You'll help define engineering standards and product direction.

You

As our next Product Engineer, you should have at least 6 years of experience in software engineering at a high-growth company or startup, plus:

Essentials

  • Strong product instincts. You care about the user experience, not just writing code or making things pretty.
  • Expertise with React and Typescript in production environments.
  • Experience working closely with designers and translating high-fidelity designs into real, polished experiences.
  • Comfortable working across the stack when needed.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and turn rough ideas into working software.

Standouts

  • Experience building tools for developers, operators, or data-heavy domains.
  • Familiarity with real-time interfaces, graph-based UIs, or complex workflow builders.
  • Contributions to open source or personal projects that highlight your craft and care.
  • You enjoy mentoring, pairing, and leveling up those around you.

Compensation

Estimated Base Salary $240K-$280K – Offers Equity
