Senior Product Manager (Combined Heat & Power)

At Antora, we’re on a mission to stop climate change. And we can’t do that unless we tackle the 30% of global emissions that come from industry.

Antora is unlocking zero-emissions industrial energy, cheaper than fossil fuels. Antora’s thermal batteries store energy from renewables as heat for days on end, delivering that stored energy as heat and power at the scale and temperatures that large industrial operations demand. We’re on a path to eliminate gigatons of emissions while strengthening domestic manufacturing, curbing industrial air pollution, and enhancing America’s clean energy leadership.

We are growing our company with people who put team and mission first, value connection through laughter and joy, and build with humility and openness. We are committed to continue building a diverse, passionate, and creative team dedicated to a future where every industrial facility, everywhere on earth, is powered by abundant, low-cost, zero-emissions energy.

Position Summary

We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead product strategy and commercialization efforts for Antora’s Combined Heat and Power (CHP) product. Building on the success of Antora’s core thermal energy storage product, which Antora is currently manufacturing and selling, the CHP product will be Antora’s second product to market. Antora’s CHP product integrates our world-record-setting thermophotovoltaic (TPV) technology with our thermal energy storage technology to deliver a solution that will decarbonize both heat and power for industrial facilities across the globe. Antora has demonstrated combined heat and power technology at our pilot site in Fresno, CA, and we are ready to develop and scale a commercial product.

In this key role on the Product Management team, you will work with Antora engineers and scientists as well as customers and partners to drive the CHP product from start to finish - setting the vision and guiding this product over multiple years through the full product lifecycle to successful market release. This is a hugely impactful role defining and launching a game-changing product on a proven platform that will have gigaton-scale impact on climate change.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop the long-term product strategy and product roadmap for Antora’s CHP product.
  • Conduct market research, perform analysis, and develop recommendations that lay out a vision for Antora’s CHP product that will deliver customer value and secure competitive advantage.
  • Lead engagements with key Antora stakeholders, including customers, financiers, regulators, electric utilities, project developers, and more to gather insights and inform product strategy.
  • Conduct techno-economic analysis to analyze product design trade-off decisions and value propositions.
  • Engage deeply with the Antora Heat-to-Power team to understand science and engineering challenges, solve problems, and inform research and development roadmaps.
  • Coordinate initiatives with internal and external stakeholders to write, refine, and substantiate product requirements.
  • Build value models to develop pricing strategies.
  • Lead development and execution of successful Alpha and Beta pilots for the CHP product.
  • Manage the product lifecycle for the CHP product from concept to launch, including leading product management meetings, quarterly product reviews, and product strategy reviews.
  • Problem solve with engineering and commercial teams to find creative solutions to product development and manufacturing issues as they arise.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience: We value diverse experiences. 7+ years of work experience in Hardware Product Management or Sales Engineering within energy storage or behind-the-meter industrial co-generation is preferred. We welcome candidates with fewer total years of industry experience who have a related Master's or Ph.D., or those who bring unique perspectives and expertise.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Deep understanding of energy markets, energy storage business models, industrial process design, and/or industrial decarbonization approaches.
    • Strong intuition of energy storage techno-economics demonstrated through successful development and execution of go-to-market strategies.
    • Experience guiding industrial hardware products from early-stage concept to mass manufacturing and deployment.
    • Exceptional ability to develop and manage executive-level relationships with customers, investors, and policymakers.
    • Demonstrated expertise with data analysis, financial modeling, and techno-economic analysis.
    • Proficiency in creating compelling presentations and content.
    • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally across disciplines including commercial, engineering, finance, manufacturing, and policy teams.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Creative, strategic, curious, and imaginative thinker who thrives in an unstructured environment.
    • Deep intellectual curiosity and strong work ethic.
    • Passion for solving climate change.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
