About Our Products

ApartmentIQ is the all-in-one data platform powering smarter decisions across multifamily—covering 40M units with daily property and market intelligence used for surveys, research, and revenue management. We're trusted by 65% of the NMHC Top 50. Our sister company, MavenAI, delivers AI-powered marketing automation built by industry experts and integrated directly with property management systems, serving over 2M units.

The role

ApartmentIQ is hiring a Solutions Consultant to lead our work with multifamily operators on fee transparency and compliance. This person brings hands-on experience with how apartment fees are set, marketed and reviewed, and uses it to help customers advertise fees accurately and consistently across every channel.

Fee regulation in rental housing is evolving quickly, and operators need a clear view of how their fees appear to renters. In this role, you'll lead customer demonstrations, serve as the subject-matter expert in sales conversations, and research regulatory requirements that shape our product.

What you'll do

  • Deliver product demonstrations to property management companies, owners and REITs, from regional operators to national portfolios.
  • Prepare prospect-specific analyses of live fee data ahead of each meeting.
  • Partner with Account Executives on active opportunities, engaging marketing, operations, revenue management and legal stakeholders.
  • Address compliance questions and objections using approved positioning, coordinating with the customer's legal team where appropriate.
  • Support Customer Success on renewals and expansions as customers enter new markets.
  • Monitor federal, state and local developments affecting rental fee advertising and leasing.
  • Translate new requirements into clear, concise specifications that guide product development.
  • Maintain a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction reference of applicable requirements and effective dates.
  • Develop educational content for Sales and Marketing, including guides, one-pagers and webinars, and represent ApartmentIQ at industry events.
  • Share customer feedback and unmet needs with the product team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in multifamily with a property management company, owner-operator or REIT.
  • Direct experience with apartment fees in one of the following areas:
    • Legal: paralegal or compliance role supporting leases, fee schedules, advertising review or consumer-protection matters.
    • Marketing: marketing, ILS or pricing role responsible for how rent and fees are presented on property websites and listing sites.
  • Working knowledge of fee disclosure practices, including mandatory, optional and conditional fees.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex requirements into clear written guidance.
  • Confident presenting to executive audiences and responding to detailed questions.

Nice to have

  • Paralegal certificate, JD or compliance credential.
  • Pre-sales, solutions consulting or other customer-facing SaaS experience.
  • Established relationships across apartment industry associations.
  • Experience supporting multi-state portfolios.
