The Global Procurement, Senior Buyer is on the Global Operations team reports to the Director, Global Product Operations.  Position will be located in Valencia, Spain.

The Senior Buyer is responsible for managing supplier relationships, and overseeing procurement and payment operations to ensure the timely and cost-efficient acquisition of and payment for goods and services. Includes all direct and indirect spending for all functions of the company.  This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with business objectives and implement best practices in procurement and payment operations.

What You’ll Do 

  • Develop and maintain a preferred supplier list for all catalog, non-catalog, and expense items.
  • Develop and manage day to day relationships with existing suppliers, including overseeing vendor master information and negotiating credit terms.
  • Responsible for Vendor Master Management, which includes setting up new suppliers, maintaining suppliers' remit-to and banking information, credit applications, and relevant tax documentation within VendorInfo and MRPeasy.
  • Create and maintain the Global Procurement Policy, ensure compliance within MRPeasy, provide requisitioner training, and maintain the Confluence pages, as applicable.
  • Support the triage of global procurement issues from Slack and the Jira Ticketing System.
  • Provide support and suggestions for the review and management of the approval hierarchy process. Resolve any hierarchy-related PO or requisition issues.
  • Review, Clear, and Correct open POs, PPV holds, PO and PR GL category coding, POs for closure, and update purchase orders for terminated employees.
  • Support the monitoring process on Non-Received POs.
  • Periodically review access rights to ensure appropriate segregation of duties for the procure-to-pay process in MRPeasy.
  • Implement and manage detailed spending reports for senior management, highlighting trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop purchase orders for finished goods and raw material requirements planned under MRP based upon Commercial Demand Forecasting.
  • Manage day to day supplier activities in support of long range material requirements based on annual demand forecast and tactical short-range planning based upon current sales forecast updates.
  • Team with Planning and Inventory manager to establish material supply and production scheduling with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO) and internal production resources.
  • Team with Planning and Inventory manager to establish raw material purchasing requirements and purchase orders.
  • Support negotiations with the Distribution and Trade Compliance lead to manage material distribution to all warehouse and production locations.
  • Team with Planning and Inventory manager to ensure MRP and raw material inventory safety stock set up in supply chain software program including safety stock levels, reorder points, min/max settings, lead times, order quantities, and item classes.  
  • Operate with highest level of integrity and compliance to business conduct and FCPA policies.
  • Other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Department that support the activities and objectives of the position.

What You Bring 

  • 5-8 years in procurement management within a multi-national business structure
  • Strong business and financial acumen 
  • Action-oriented, taking initiative to engage with internal and external parties directly to solve complex problems 
  • Highly collaborative and able to rally effort towards a common purpose 
  • Demonstrated organizational/planning and communication skills 
  • Highly adaptable and able to juggle tasks across multiple concurrent projects to accomplish objectives 
  • Strong attention to detail, and advanced data-driven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines 
  • Advanced experience with ERP systems (MRPeasy an advantage) and familiarity and comfort with other software tools (e.g., Jira, Slack) 
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 15%) 
  • English proficiency required; Spanish proficiency a strong asset
