Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot IIS issues 
  • Configure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) 
  • Providing technical support to staff and customers 
  • Write code to automate system architectures 
  • Working on custom special projects as assigned 
  • Network documentation, maintenance, support 
  • Understands, documents, and supports the underlying business processes, workflows, data and application platforms that depend on Microsoft services 
  • Take ownership of issues, with a sense of urgency, and use sound judgment to resolve within service levels 
  • Design, implement and troubleshoot Azure Site Recovery, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), automation of deployment 
  • Firewall maintenance and support 
  • On-Premises and remote datacenter hardware documentation, installation, support, maintenance 
  • Backup documentation and maintenance 
  • Engage peers in accordance with processes and procedures to create complete solution designs 
  • Hyper-V and SQL failover clustering support 
  • Active Directory, internal and public DNS, GPO and security modeling 

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft WSUS and server patching 
  • Manage Engine administration 
  • Windows Admin Center (WAC) administration 
  • Strong understanding of SSL/TLS encryption and certificate management 
  • Windows 11 & Windows Server 2016+ practical experience 
  • Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization and clustering 
  • SAN (storage area network) experience 
  • Good understanding of DNS, networking, IP 
  • Azure experience 
  • Some weekend and off-hours work 
  • Limited travel and server datacenter familiarity 
  • Experience a plus: NewRelic, Solarwinds Orion, Symantec EPM, Splunk 
  • F5 Big-IP or equivalent load balancer experience 
  • SSL and encryption knowledge 
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE or similar) 
  • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ103) 
  • Azure AD Back-up and restore 
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows Server installation, patching and maintenance 
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes 
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud Services 
  • Working knowledge of SQL server – MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres 
  • Experience with PowerShell, Bash, python 
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux and common open source utilities 
  • 5+ years of experience with Systems administration of cloud and on-premise environments 
  • Experience working in Azure Government Cloud or FedRAMP validated environments is a plus
