This is a remote position reporting to our Michigan office.
Your Role
As a Data Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our data engineering team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines to support internal data products that drive the success of Halo Connect™. This role involves high technical expertise, including architecture, design, development, and performance optimization. You will work closely with various stakeholders to translate diverse data sources into valuable data products that support our analytics and data product initiatives.
Your Responsibilities
- Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS technologies like RDS, Redshift, Glue, Athena, and Sagemaker.
- Data Transformation: Transform raw data into a structured format suitable for analysis and consumption by data products.
- Data Quality: Ensure data quality by implementing data validation and cleansing processes.
- Data Governance: Adhere to data governance standards and best practices to protect data integrity and security.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and product teams to understand their data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and trends to drive innovation and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience working with AWS technologies, including RDS, Redshift, Glue, Athena, and Sagemaker.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake concepts.
- Experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in AWS technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analyst, AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty)
- Experience with data visualization tools like QuickSight.
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts
Pay Range: $115,000 - $150,000
*Base salary only. Salary dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
