As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes to improve productivity, ensure workplace safety, and enable high-quality output in an industrial production environment. This is a broad and high-impact role within a growing company, providing the opportunity to shape supplier infrastructure, lead process improvements, and contribute to the expansion of an innovative and evolving product portfolio. This is an onsite role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, documentation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for electromechanical assemblies.
- Champion safety and efficiency improvements through line layout optimization, tool implementation, and refined process definition.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives with Quality, Design Engineering, Test Engineering, and Operations to address non-conformances and advance continuous improvement.
- Engage and manage technical performance of preferred supply partners to ensure incoming quality and production capacity for critical custom components and sub-assemblies.
- Drive and support cost control, supplier selection, and product improvement initiatives across all phases of the product release lifecycle.
- Collaborate with NPI teams to identify manufacturing constraints and deliver DFM/DFA feedback for product design integration.
- Develop NPI Manufacturing Plans to define production release criteria and accelerate build readiness and production ramp schedules.
- Demonstrate proficiency with product maturity tools, including DFMEA, PFMEA, P-Diagrams, and Control Plans.
- Apply structured root cause investigation methodologies to resolve yield, quality, and process-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in high-volume, low-mix production environments; experience in automotive or medical device manufacturing preferred
- Proficient in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk) for design evaluation and fixture/tool development
- Strong foundation in process capability analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and failure/root cause analysis
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and communicate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Experience collaborating with contract manufacturers; exposure to industrial automation is a plus
Pay Range: $125,000 - $140,000
*Base salary only. Salary is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
