Your Role
This is an opportunity for a senior level IoT cellular operations engineer to play a crucial role in the maturation of our Halo Connect platform to perform at an even larger scale as Aperia expands its global footprint. You will work in a high-communication environment as part of a team of empowered developers and engineers who have a passion for the products they work on and care about their end users. Your Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance - create and track key metrics to monitor network health activity, MVNO and internal alerts, device uptime, data usage, and device-to-platform connection dynamics.
- Troubleshoot issues - identify, analyze, and corner problems, alerting carriers and/or working with firmware and platform engineering to resolve connectivity issues.
- Analyze data and recommend optimization strategies - work with data scientists to monitor devices and optimize network usage and performance.
- Visit customer sites to measure cellular signal availability, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and enable device operability.
- Enable cellular connectivity in new regions - work with MVNOs to rapidly gain confidence in cellular connectivity in new regions to enable pilot installations and global expansion.

- ~25% travel is expected, including internationally
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor of science degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or other relevant field
- At least four years of hands-on experience on both sides of the cellular link including direct interactions with IoT modems (e.g., AT commands), working with cellular network providers, and platform-side monitoring tools.
- System-level thinking as our product offering spans edge devices to platform.
- Problem solving - ability to analyze large datasets, recognize patterns, theorize on root cause, recommend solutions, monitor efficacy, and enable continuous improvement
- Clear communicator – must be able to synthesize cellular-related solutions into actionable requirements for firmware and platform engineers.
- Organized - must be able to simultaneously monitor and drive multiple, potentially urgent issues to resolution.
Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000
*Base salary only. Salary is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
