Your Role
The Quality Engineer reports to the Quality Director and will be focused on supporting automotive customers, manufacturing and suppliers. Duties shall also include the implementation and administration of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards throughout the business to continuously improve the quality of Aperia products and services.

Your Responsibilities
- Engage directly with automotive customers to ensure quality engineering needs are met and projects are delivered to expectations by:
- Creation and output of relevant quality documents from Aperia to customers
- Intake of quality-related concerns or requests from customers
- Facilitation of improvement projects to support customer needs
- Maintain ISO 9001 practices and support the implementation of IATF 16949, to ensure compliance across operations, by auditing and standardizing processes:
- In manufacturing
- Cross-functionally in the organization
- Through to our supplier base
- Work with Aperia’s suppliers to ensure that the highest quality products possible are delivered to Aperia to meet quality standards, by conducting evaluations and follow-ups, with supplier quality and supply chain teams.
- Conduct root cause analysis and bring to closure quality issues that are identified at suppliers, in manufacturing, or from customer returns to resolve defects, using structured problem solving tools, with cross-functional teams.
- Support product/process qualifications including trials, testing and reporting activities to ensure production readiness, by executing validation plans, with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Statistically analyze data and generate reports designed to relay information on quality issues to support decision-making with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers or customers
- Continuously create working documents for quality tasks and train the quality and manufacturing teams to ensure standardization and capability.
- Participate in various special projects by contributing quality expertise that support the quality, manufacturing and engineering teams.
Skills/Qualifications
- Education in Quality, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- 5+ years as a quality engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Experience in automotive-related manufacturing is preferred
- Expert level knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards in manufacturing
- Experience and working knowledge of key quality tools used in manufacturing (5-Why, Fishbone, GR&R, GD&T, 8D/CAPA for RCCA)
- Experience working with database systems to extract, format, analyze and report conclusions/recommendations internally and externally
Pay Range: $95,000 - $120,000
*Base salary only. Salary dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
