Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Technician  2:

● Observe safe work practices.

● Install, troubleshoot, and repair remediation systems.

● Perform remediation system operations and maintenance.

● Perform soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling.

● Perform site inspections and other data collection.

● Gather field operation and maintenance data in a neat and organized manner.

● Optimize remediation systems including soil vapor extraction systems, thermal oxidizers, catalytic oxidizers, groundwater extraction and product recovery systems.

● Install, operate, and maintain groundwater pumps.

● Travel to various remediation system locations.

● Use environmental field instruments including water quality meters, pressure and vacuum meters/gauges, PID/FIDs, and other gas meters.

● Work closely with engineers and project managers to operate, maintain, and optimize the various remediation systems.

● Understand system permits-to-operate and conduct operation of the systems in accordance with the respective permits.

What we're looking for:

● GED or High School diploma.

● 6 to 8 years of experience with remediation systems, maintenance, and data collection.

● OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.

● Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds, work in confined spaces, and work under inclement weather conditions.

● Stable employment history and favorable employment references.

● Track record of excellent attendance and punctuality.

● Background and drug screening.

● Own reliable transportation.

● Good safety record and understanding of safe work practices.
