Apex Companies is looking for an Environmental Compliance Program Manager. This is a remote position within the United States.
Your Responsibilities as a Program Manager:
- Lead multi‑media environmental compliance programs (stormwater, SPCC, air, waste, wastewater).
- Manage compliance for 100+ facilities across multiple states.
- Develop, lead, and mentor high‑performing environmental teams.
- Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring strong communication and excellent service.
- Provide regulatory interpretation and compliance guidance across all media.
- Manage program schedules, budgets, resources, performance metrics, and reporting.
- Prepare and review compliance deliverables including SPCC Plans, SWPPPs, air permitting documents, and waste plans.
- Identify client needs and support account growth.
- Ensure safe execution of all program activities and reinforce a strong safety culture.
What we're looking for:
- BA/BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of environmental compliance experience, including multi‑media programs.
- Experience managing large, multi‑state facility portfolios.
- Proven leadership skills, with a track record of developing high‑performing teams.
- Strong program management abilities, including schedule, budget, scope, and risk management.
- Excellent communication, client service, and team‑building skills.
- Strong technical writing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent safety record and a solid understanding of safe work practices.

Annual Expected Salary Range is $125,000 - $165,000 depending on experience
