Job Title: Tier 2 Product Owner - SCM & Fleet Management
Classification: Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
Reports to: President
Work Location/Travel: Work is remote or on-site. Percentage of travel, where the travel occurs, such as locally or in specific countries or states, and whether the travel is overnight, varies. This resource must be willing and able to travel as required by the customer project.
Job Summary:
The Tier 2 Product Owner will provide functional support and product ownership for Oracle Fusion SCM and Fleet Management. This role will resolve complex issues, support transportation and fleet operations, prioritize enhancements, and partner with business and IT stakeholders to improve processes and shape the product roadmap.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as the functional Product Owner for Oracle Fusion SCM and Fleet Management.
- Provide Tier 2 support for complex escalated issues.
- Troubleshoot functional issues, process gaps, configuration concerns, and exceptions.
- Prioritize incidents, defects, enhancements, and support requests.
- Partner with IT, technical teams, Oracle support, and third parties to resolve issues.
- Document issues, root causes, resolutions, and process improvements.
- Support knowledge transfer and transition processes to business ownership.
- Support order optimization, transportation execution, scheduling, and operational coordination.
- Gather requirements, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Assess the impact of process, system, and configuration changes.
- Support functional testing, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
- Support fleet administration, planning, and dispatch operations.
- Support carrier execution, tendering, tracking, milestones, and transportation exceptions.
- Support asset lifecycle, equipment, driver data, and related processes.
- Support rate offerings, transportation costs, and settlements.
- Partner with transportation and logistics teams to improve operations and visibility.
- Partner with Operations, Logistics, Transportation, business stakeholders, and IT.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements and enhancements.
- Help prioritize the product backlog and enhancement pipeline.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Support the roadmap for future enhancements, integrations, and analytics.
- Communicate priorities, risks, dependencies, and status to stakeholders.

- May conduct interviews.
- Assigns duties and responsibilities and oversees workflow of project staff.
- May conduct project performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Work Environment:
The work environment is remote or on-site at a client location. While remote, employees are expected to provide office space for themselves with a professional background (including virtual backgrounds) and noise level. A reliable and consistent internet connection is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Bending, sitting, lifting, and/or driving.
Position Type and expected hours of work:
- Full time work during Apex IT business hours and, at times, outside of business hours, if required.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, transportation, logistics, fleet management, or related systems.
- 3+ years supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM and/or Oracle transportation or fleet capabilities.
- Experience with functional support, troubleshooting, and system enhancements.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and transportation processes.
- Experience working with business and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to translate business needs into functional solutions.
- Experience with functional testing, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
