Senior Systems Engineer
About the Role
Join the team behind the most-watched creator in the world — and help us build the systems that power it. We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to take ownership of our fast-growing HR tech stack and help us continue to scale our enterprise.
In this strategic, hands-on role, you’ll be the architect behind the systems that support every stage of the employee experience — from recruiting and onboarding to performance, compensation, and payroll. You’ll work at the intersection of engineering, people ops, and data to streamline tools, build integrations, and prepare us for future migrations to enterprise-grade platforms.
You'll partner with Tech and People Ops to connect our HR systems, streamline data flows, and turn insights into action through a centralized data warehouse. This role blends hands-on engineering — APIs, system configs, scripting — with project management to keep teams and vendors aligned and moving forward.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design and build integrations across HR platforms like Rippling, Gusto, Deel, Greenhouse, and Workday.
- Automate employee lifecycle workflows and reduce manual operations through API-driven processes and scripting.
- Set up and maintain data pipelines into a centralized warehouse (e.g., Snowflake or BigQuery) to enable reporting and analytics.
- Lead or support system migrations and tool consolidations, including evaluation, prototyping, and phased rollouts.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for HRIS projects across Tech, People Ops, Finance, and vendors.
- Ensure system security, compliance (SOC 2, GDPR), and data integrity across all platforms.
- Drive alignment, documentation, and accountability across stakeholders for all HR systems initiatives.
What Makes You A Fit:
- 5+ years of experience in systems or software engineering roles focused on HRIS or enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Proven track record working with at least one modern HRIS (e.g., Rippling, Workday, etc.)
- Proficiency with APIs (REST, JSON) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
- Solid SQL skills and experience working with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Strong understanding of the employee lifecycle (recruiting, onboarding, comp, performance).
Nice-to-Have
- Experience migrating to or administering Workday in a high-growth or mid-sized environment.
- Familiarity with ETL tools and platforms (e.g., Airbyte, Fivetran).
- Background in People Analytics or building internal dashboards.
- Exposure to Agile frameworks and project management experience.
