YOUR ROLE & MISSION

The Growth Engineering Lead is a senior leader responsible for building and scaling our Growth Engineering function. This role will work closely with Product, Marketing, and Data teams to optimize the user journey, improve conversion funnels, and drive scalable, data-driven experiments. You will lead a team of engineers focused on rapid iteration, A/B testing, and developing new features that maximize user engagement and business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Growth Engineering team to drive technical initiatives that enhance user acquisition, retention, and monetization.
  • Develop and execute engineering strategies that enable rapid experimentation and data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Data Science, and Engineering teams to optimize key growth metrics.
  • Architect and build scalable systems that support growth initiatives, such as onboarding flows, personalization engines, and viral loops.
  • Implement A/B testing frameworks and data instrumentation to ensure accurate tracking and measurement of experiments.
  • Leverage automation and machine learning to optimize user engagement, reduce churn, and personalize user experiences.
  • Hire, mentor, and develop a world-class Growth Engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, iteration, and impact.
  • Ensure technical excellence through best practices in performance optimization, security, and scalability.

Skills and Relevant Experience

  • 8+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading Growth Engineering teams in a high-growth startup or tech company.
  • Expertise in A/B testing, data analytics, and experimentation platforms (e.g., Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, Amplitude, Segment, Mixpanel, or Google Analytics).
  • Strong programming skills in modern web technologies (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Python, or Node.js) and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
  • Deep understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO), SEO, and performance engineering.
  • Experience working with SQL, data pipelines, and analytics frameworks.
  • Passion for rapid iteration, experimentation, and growth-driven development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Ruby and Python
  • Understanding of data privacy and security fundamentals
  • Proven experience leveraging AI tools to enhance software development processes, including code generation, debugging, and productivity optimization. Candidates should demonstrate fluency in integrating AI-driven solutions into their workflows and a willingness to stay current with emerging AI technologies

Great to have

  • Familiarity with React, MongoDB, SQL, data warehousing and ElasticSearch
  • Experience with data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, Looker, etc.) and developing B2B SaaS products
  • Experience within the activation, integration, or system design space
