ApotheCom are looking for a Senior Medical Writer, to join a global medical affairs team with a pharmaceutical client. With important therapy area knowledge including cardiovascular and kidney disease, your experience developing and reviewing related content within a MedComms setting will be a necessary factor. This role offers opportunities to be a partner and trusted advisor to the client, with travel for client meetings and events. 

Reporting to a Senior Medical Director, You will be a senior scientific member of an existing team and will partner with the medical and client service leads to mentor and review work, ensure quality delivery and grow the business. Content delivery includes training materials, congress and symposia work, and advisory board activities, for which creativity and  a clear understanding of client strategy is important. 

The position holder will be comfortable providing a high-level consultancy service to our pharmaceutical industry clients and ensure the scientific accuracy and high quality of projects. 

 Skills Required

  • You will demonstrate excellent and versatile scientific writing and editing skills (e.g. monographs, training manuals, KOLs slide sets)
  • You will have experience developing content for different medical audiences
  • You will create medical education materials to a high standard and quality, with minimal internal review/assistance
  • Experience writing in a range of media, including print, video, new media (CD-ROM and web-based work)
  • Excellent quality control skills – style/consistency, grammar, scientific accuracy, proof-reading, layout.
  • You will need to ensure all writing meets our client's strategic marketing goals and being of high scientific quality/credibility
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical and health-related issues
  • Work within a team and form productive working relationships within, and external to, iNIZIO
  • Client-centric attitude - ability to work with clients on projects, ensuring they meet strategic marketing and medical needs

Experience

  • Prior experience working as a medical writer for a medical communications agency
  • An academic background in life sciences

This is a hybrid remote/in-office or remote UK based role.
