This position is for the ITCloud business unit serving Canadian IT professionals and their business customers. Through our partner channel, we provision Canadian businesses with the most powerful corporate cloud solutions for continuity, cybersecurity and productivity. About You
The Azure Sales Specialist is responsible for driving the adoption and sales of Microsoft Azure cloud solutions. This role involves engaging with business clients, understanding their needs, and proposing tailored Azure solutions to help them achieve their objectives. The specialist acts as a trusted advisor, collaborating with technical teams and partners to deliver value and ensure customer success.

What you’ll do and how you’ll have an impact

  • Sales Execution:
    • Identify new sales opportunities and manage the entire sales cycle for Azure services.
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Microsoft Azure platform, including its products, services, and market trends.
    • Present and demonstrate the value of Azure solutions to potential clients, including product demos and technical support.
    • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, including key decision-makers.
  • Consulting & Solution Design:
    • Consult with clients to understand their business needs and objectives.
    • Translate client requirements into relevant Azure solutions (IaaS, PaaS, hybrid cloud, AI integrations, security, etc.).
    • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions meet client requirements.
  • Market & Product Knowledge:
    • Stay updated with product developments and market trends in cloud computing.
    • Provide feedback to the product team based on client requirements and market insights.
  • Partner & Channel Engagement:
    • Proactively approach and onboard new Azure partners and customers.
    • Support marketing initiatives to position Azure effectively in the market.
    • Utilize Microsoft targeting tools and programs (e.g., Cloud Ascent, SMB Azure Workshops) to drive new customer conversations and identify migration opportunities.
  • Revenue Growth:
    • Drive pipeline growth and increase Azure adoption across target segments (Enterprise, SMB, etc.).
    • Upsell and cross-sell additional services (security, backup, monitoring, consulting).
    • Shift customers from one-time sales to recurring revenue models (subscription-based/OPEX).

What we’re looking for

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure; experience in partner or channel sales is a strong plus.
  • Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in IT or cloud solutions.
  • Strong commercial mindset, proactive attitude, and results-driven work style.
  • Bilingualism in spoken and written communication is essential, as well as proficiency in the Office 365 suite
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales, pre-sales, and technical teams.
  • Comfortable making client presentations and developing sales strategies to achieve targets.

Additional Insights

  • The role may involve supporting virtual and in-person events, assisting with partner onboarding, and maintaining accurate CRM data.
  • Specialists often participate in ongoing training and certification programs to stay current with Azure technologies and sales best practices.
