Appfire is seeking an experienced full-time Senior Data Analyst!

In this role, you will be a key player in activating our company-wide data in new and impactful ways. You'll be at the forefront of designing, conducting, and presenting data-driven analyses that enhance decision-making capabilities across Appfire.

You will be part of Appfire’s central data insights team, providing data and analytics partnerships to support our strategic pillars. You'll dive deep into our data to help answer questions at the heart of our company's growth:

  • What metrics signify customer value?
  • Who are our customers, and how do they engage?
  • How should Appfire view our business, partners, and products?
  • What metrics bring teams together across a common purpose?
  • What new value can be uncovered from newly wrangled datasets?

You will be a thought partner for these and other initiatives, leveraging your advanced data analysis skills and business partnerships to scale data-informed and insight-led decisions at all levels.

What you'll do:

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex, ambiguous business questions into clear analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.
  • Analyze customer, product, partner, and financial performance to identify key drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities that inform strategic and operational decisions.
  • Conduct deep dive and exploratory, and ad hoc analyses that improve our understanding of the business and uncover new opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Define, develop, and evolve business metrics and analytical frameworks that create a consistent view of performance across teams.
  • Build scalable data models, analyses, dashboards, and other analytical solutions that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions independently.
  • Collaborate with Analytics Engineering and other data partners to improve the quality, usability, and accessibility of data used for analysis and decision-making.

What you'll need:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role, with a track record of using data to influence business decisions.
  • Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Strong experience with dbt or a comparable data transformation and modeling framework.
  • Experience using business intelligence and visualization tools such as Sigma, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms to deliver decision-ready insights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to structure ambiguous questions, identify meaningful patterns, and translate analysis into clear recommendations.
  • Experience partnering directly with stakeholders across multiple business functions and independently owning analytical work from initial question through final recommendation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to explain complex analyses clearly and influence both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leaders.
  • Experience analyzing a B2B software or SaaS business, with an understanding of customer journeys, product performance, and recurring-revenue business models.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with Sigma
  • Experience with Salesforce data
  • Experience using AI-assisted analytics or development tools such as Claude or Cursor
  • Experience analyzing B2B SaaS business models and customer journeys
