Operations Associate, Office of the CEO

Appian is seeking an Operations Associate for the office of the CEO. This position reports to the Chief of Staff and ensures that CEO engagements with clients, prospects, partners, and media are professional and impactful. The role is perfect for someone looking for a fast-paced environment, has a willingness to learn, and is interested in working with sales, customer success, executives, and external stakeholders. The Operations Associate plays an integral part in developing the CEO’s network, preparing meeting schedules, executing pre-meeting activities, and following up on meeting action items.
This role is based at our headquarters in McLean, Virginia. Appian was built on a culture of in-person collaboration, which we believe is a key driver of our mission to be the best. About the Job:

Maintain an organized record of CEO engagements with external parties (mainly focusing on customers, partners, prospects, media, analysts)

Coordinate prep materials for CEO meetings

Support external meetings
-
Support external engagement by researching current events and suggesting engagement tactics to engage the CEO’s network.

Manage the CEO contact list

Support CEO trip preparation

Support strategic and tactical projects

Coordinate mail related to CEO programs
About You:

Bachelors degree
-
Highly professional individual who can maintain confidentiality

Extraordinarily detail-oriented
-
Strong writing and verbal communication skills

Exemplary problem solving and analytical skills

Able to work well under pressure, take initiative, and be flexible and cooperative

Great communications skills especially with executives and customers

Experience in working in events planning is beneficial

Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

Proven ability to learn quickly and to anticipate the needs of others

Strong organizational and time management skills

Driven self-starter with high initiative and confidence

Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Google Docs, Google Meet
