Workplace & Facilities Specialist

Appian is looking for a Workplace & Facilities Specialist to support the smooth, efficient, and professional operation of our office environment. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused setting and enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and ensuring an outstanding workplace experience for employees and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities:

Independently manage day-to-day workplace and facility operations, including space setup, maintenance coordination, vendor management, and supplies.

Represent Appian with professionalism to all employees, guests, and external partners.

Handle all SEZ compliance requirements, including SEZ documentation and use of the SEZ Online Portal.

Collaborate with global and local teams to support employee onboarding, workspace assignments, and event coordination.

Ensure the workplace is safe, functional, and aligned with our culture and operational needs.

Contribute ideas for improving office processes, employee experience, and operational efficiency.

Support internal communications and logistics related to office policies, procedures, and events.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in a relevant field.

5+ years of experience in workplace, facilities operations, or a similar role.

Experience managing SEZ operations and associated compliance requirements through the SEZ Online Portal.

Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Experience working in employee-facing roles and managing multiple concurrent responsibilities.
