Tax Manager

As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will be responsible for leading all activities related to global compliance and reporting, income tax accounting, and internal controls. You will have the opportunity to work across all tax areas in a global tax function, including direct supervision of senior tax consultants. You will report to the Director, Corporate Tax.

What you’ll be doing (i.e., job duties):

Global Tax Compliance

Oversee and review income tax returns across multiple foreign jurisdictions, partnering with local tax advisors to ensure technical accuracy and timely statutory filings

Respond to and manage foreign tax audits and notices.

Lead global tax risk assessments regarding cross-border intercompany activities, ensuring alignment with global transfer pricing frameworks and mitigating risks associated with international operations

US Tax Compliance

Lead the U.S. Federal and State income tax return process, managing the relationship with external tax advisors.

Calculate and manage quarterly estimated tax payments and extension filings.

Stay current on SaaS-specific tax regulations, including R&D tax credit eligibility and Section 174 capitalization requirements.

Respond to and manage federal and state tax audits and notices.

Tax Provision (ASC 740)

Manage the quarterly and annual global income tax provision process in accordance with ASC 740.

Calculate and document deferred tax assets/liabilities, valuation allowances, and uncertain tax positions (FIN 48).

Coordinate with external auditors to ensure seamless review of tax-related financial statement disclosures.

Maintain tax account reconciliations and ensure internal controls (SOX) over tax reporting are operating effectively.

Strategic and Operating Support

Monitor legislative changes (Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, Pillar Two, etc.) and assess impact on the company’s effective tax rate (ETR).

Assist with tax planning initiatives, including nexus studies and intercompany transfer pricing documentation.

Support the Finance team with tax-related inputs for budgeting and forecasting.

What we look for in you (i.e., job requirements):

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
-
4+ years of progressive experience in corporate tax or public accounting, with a strong emphasis on ASC 740 and U.S. income tax compliance.

Proven ability to work effectively with senior leaders (Controller, Accounting Director, FP&A leads)

Professional certification such as CPA is preferred

Previous experience in the Software/SaaS industry is a significant plus

Strong Microsoft Excel skills required

Advanced knowledge / utilization skills specific to OneSource (OTP) tax provision software is a plus

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain tax technical concepts to non-experts
