ESTIMATED PAY RANGE
$50,000 - $65,000 annually, DOE

JOB SUMMARY

As a Procurement Specialist in Fargo, ND, you may: oversee indirect purchasing activities, ensuring timely procurement of shop supplies, building materials, and other operational needs that support an engineering test center; manage a high volume of diverse purchasing requests, balancing priorities in a fast-paced environment; collaborate closely with the direct purchasing team, providing support during peak workloads to maintain seamless operations; build and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure compliance with company policies; track orders, monitor inventory levels, and resolve issues to keep projects and operations running smoothly; contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness across procurement activities, and work collaboratively with suppliers and other Applied partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related administrative roles in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Proficiency with purchasing systems, spreadsheets, and basic office software
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a busy environment and support both indirect and direct purchasing needs
  • High level of integrity and accountability in handling company resources
