We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Document Scanning Clerk to assist with digitizing physical records. This role involves preparing, scanning, and organizing documents to ensure accurate and efficient electronic recordkeeping. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and comfortable working with high volumes of paperwork and scanning equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare documents for scanning (e.g., removing staples, sorting, labeling)
- Operate scanning equipment to digitize physical files
- Review scanned documents for accuracy, clarity, and completeness
- Index and organize digital files according to company standards
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information
- Troubleshoot minor scanning issues and report equipment problems
- Meet daily and weekly productivity targets
- Assist with filing, archiving, or shredding documents as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in data entry, document management, or administrative support preferred
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, file management systems)
- Familiarity with scanning equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks with consistency
- Good organizational and time management skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Capable of lifting and moving boxes of documents (up to [X] lbs)
- Repetitive hand and wrist movements
Work Environment:
- Office or records storage setting
- May involve handling large volumes of paper documents
- Quiet, task-focused environment
Compensation:
$15.00 - $18.00/hr
Additional Information:
This is a temporary position intended to support a records digitization project. Flexibility with scheduling may be required based on workload.
