We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. (Note: For EpiSci job openings, fully remote work will be considered by exception.)

Applied’s suite of products range from tools for ADAS and vehicle software development to full on-board and off-board vehicle OS to AD/ADAS stacks for L4 trucking and off-road. Applied is headquartered in Silicon Valley with offices in Detroit, Tokyo, Munich, Seoul, Stuttgart and now in Bangalore, India. 

As Applied Intuition embarks on this journey in India, we have a new office in Bangalore which will house an engineering team and a go-to-market function. 

About the role: 

India Business Development Lead plays a critical role to glocalize Applied’s technology to the Indian market and achieve the region’s business targets. The role combines deep technical knowledge of the Indian ecosystem combined with business acumen. As one of the first members of the Bangalore office, you will be expected to wear multiple hats to ensure the business and site are successful. This role will report to the Head of Automotive Vertical and own revenue targets set by the Global Head of Sales. 

 At Applied, you will  

  • Own the sourcing-to-closing commercial motions for Indian customers across automotive (passenger and trucking), construction & mining and defense. 
  • Maintain a revenue strategy across Indian accounts and execute a thorough business plan, including planning for both immediate and future business growth in the region. 
  • Maintain strong connections within OEMs and be able to sell into engineering & development teams directly. 
  • Iterate with the customer on technical scope and business model, and guide the proposal through approvals. 
  • Be required to have a deep technical understanding of the Indian market’s next-gen mobility technology such as SDV platforms and ADAS/AV, along with the customer’s business objectives. 
  • Work with Applied Intuition's Business Development, Product and Engineering teams, to develop new proof-of-concepts, detailed proposals including Statements of Work (SOW) that define scope, deliverables, and commercial terms. 
  • Run customer discovery sessions independently to qualify and understand technical requirements deeply. 
  • Host customer workshops and organize tailored demonstrations to explain Applied Intuition's solutions to customers 

 We're looking for someone who has 

  • 10+ years of prior experience in technical sales, consulting, business development or solution engineering in directly relevant or adjacent domains to Applied Intuition 
  • Proven top performer - you have consistently exceeded targets 
  • Demonstrated experience creating opportunities within large strategic accounts and lengthy sales cycles 
  • Demonstrated experience selling complex business applications/technology solutions at the C-Suite level 
  • Proven ability to work across cross-functional teams and project management experience to execute complex projects 
  • Experience directly working with or selling automotive technologies and simulation tools or prior work in vehicle development, EE architecture, embedded or AD/ADAS software domains 

 

It would be amazing if you have 

  • Familiarity with modern vehicle software development practices and the ability to speak about the topic for an hour without a technical resource in the room 
  • Experience working on a product at early stage startups from (up to Series D)
