Valocore is a New York-based, venture-backed, mission-driven SaaS startup that is disrupting the $645B government contractor industry. Our software will help thousands of contractors better serve the public officials who serve our society. We are a small, ambitious team looking for talented individuals to join the founding team. We are backed by established venture capital investors and supported by an amazing advisory board including industry experts and startup veterans. Job summary
We’re looking to hire a team of founding engineers whose work will sit at and influence the intersection of the public sector and the private sector. If you’re looking for the challenges and rewards of working at an early stage startup, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll do
- Use best practices to build next generation software that will empower our users in a huge and underserved industry
- Take ownership and become a subject matter expert in everything that you do
- Scope features and refine product requirements
- Make technical decisions that will lay the foundation for the future of the company

Who you are
- Strong technical skills with preferably 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer implementing best practices and a track record of delivering results
- A builder with a “get things done” attitude who writes clean and robust code and will lay the proper groundwork for all future engineering at the company
- Problem solver with a constant desire to dive deep and understand how things work
- Willingness to learn and take on any new challenge that comes your way

- Salary Range: 140k - 180k
Our Process
We want to move fast so we have a streamlined process
- Technical screen with the CTO (90 minutes) -
- The first half will be spent going into your background and work experience. We want to hear about your past challenges and accomplishments.
- The second half will be a technical exercise. No trick questions and no need to prep; we just want to see how you approach problems and build solutions.
- Sync with the CTO and chat with CEO (15 minutes / 30 minutes) - If things go well, we'll schedule a follow up session. You'll also get a chance to chat with the CEO to ask questions and hear more about the opportunity
