We are seeking an Independent Board Director with deep experience in performance-based advertising technology, particularly DSP platforms driven by machine learning and optimization algorithms.

This individual should bring operator-level experience from leading performance advertising platforms and be able to contribute meaningfully to discussions around:

• DSP product strategy;
• machine learning driven ad optimization;
• advertiser acquisition and growth;
• competitive positioning in performance advertising;

This is a non-executive board position, not an operating role.

Appodeal is building a performance-based DSP and advertising infrastructure platform powered by machine learning.
Our long-term objective is to build a global performance advertising platform that enables advertisers to acquire users and customers efficiently through data-driven optimization and ML-based bidding systems.

Appodeal operates a broader ecosystem that includes:

• advertising infrastructure;
• demand-side platform (DSP);
• supply-side platform (SSP);
• mobile game publishing and development.

The company is profitable, growing, and operates globally across the United States and Europe.

Strategic Focus of the Role
The primary mission of this board role is to strengthen Appodeal’s ability to build a world-class ML-driven performance DSP.

The director will contribute a perspective on:

• performance advertising market dynamics;
• DSP platform strategy;
• advertiser growth and retention;
• machine learning driven optimization;
• industry partnerships;
• competitive landscape.

In addition to strategic insight, the company is looking for a director who is well-connected in the performance advertising ecosystem and can help the company stay closely aligned with
industry developments.

Responsibilities

Board members are expected to:

• Participate in quarterly board meetings;
• Provide independent strategic guidance to the CEO and leadership team;
• Contribute to discussions around product strategy, partnerships, and market positioning;
• Help evaluate major strategic initiatives;
• Provide perspective on industry trends and competitive threats;
• Support the company through relevant industry connections and relationships;
• Board members do not participate in day-to-day operations.

Ideal Background
We are looking for a senior operator with leadership experience in performance advertising platforms or performance marketing infrastructure.
