Your Role as an Implementation Specialist:

Are you a detail-oriented implementation professional with deep expertise in intranet technology, internal communications platforms, and workplace management solutions? Do you thrive on guiding customers through complex migrations and new deployments while keeping the employee experience front and center? Appspace is looking for an Implementation Specialist to join the Appspace Professional Services team.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end implementation of Appspace Intranet and Internal Communications solutions for new customers, while also leading platform migrations from Sharepoint and Igloo to Appspace. Rounding out your portfolio, you will support Workplace Management implementations – including space reservation, digital signage, and related workplace experience products – on a smaller portion of your engagements.

This position is structured as 80% Intranet and Internal Communications implementations and 20% Workplace Management projects, giving you a primary domain of deep expertise while keeping your skills broad across the full Appspace platform.

A Day in the Life of an Implementation Specialist:

Intranet Implementation & Onboarding

  • Deliver Appspace Intranet configurations for new and existing customers, delivering configuration, content setup, and preparation for go-live.
  • Serve as the primary implementation resource, setting clear expectations with internal teams to communicate to customers, managing timelines, and maintaining strong communication with the organization throughout each engagement.
  • Configure and validate Appspace Intranet environments to meet each customer's specific structural, design, and content requirements.
  • When required, deliver tailored onboarding sessions and training to customer administrators and content managers, enabling self-sufficiency post-launch.
  • When required, consult on intranet best practices including information architecture, content governance, navigation design, and user experience to set customers up for long-term success.

Internal Communications Implementation

  • Implement Appspace Internal Communications features including news feeds, announcements, targeted content channels, and employee engagement tools.
  • Advise on internal communications strategy – helping to structure content hierarchies, define publishing workflows, and reach the right audiences effectively.
  • Configure content distribution settings, audience targeting, and governance controls aligned to each customer's communications team structure and approval processes.
  • Support customers in migrating existing internal communications content and structures into the Appspace platform, ensuring continuity of employee experience.

Platform Migrations — Legacy Platforms to Appspace

  • Support structured migration engagements for customers transitioning from Legacy Platforms to the Appspace Intranet platform.
  • Analyze and map source content structures, site architecture, and user permissions from legacy environments to equivalent Appspace configurations.
  • Perform first-level QA validation of migrated content – verifying that pages, documents, media, and structural elements have loaded correctly and accurately before handoff to the customer.
  • Document migration findings, flag discrepancies or missing content, and coordinate resolution with the appropriate technical teams.
  • Maintain a clear migration checklist and sign-off process to ensure every engagement meets a consistent quality bar prior to customer acceptance.

Workplace Management Implementation (20%)

  • Support implementations of Appspace Workplace Management products – including space reservation, room and desk booking, digital signage, and wayfinding – as a secondary engagement type.
  • Configure workplace management environments to customer requirements, coordinating with Solution Architects where deeper technical scoping is required.
  • When required, guide customers through the setup of physical space configurations, floor plans, booking policies, and display hardware integrations.
  • When required, consult on workplace management best practices and adoption strategies to drive employee engagement with space and resource booking tools.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager on larger, more complex workplace management engagements where implementation support is needed alongside strategic delivery.

Technical Investigation & Support

  • Investigate error messages and unexpected platform behavior using basic C# knowledge – able to read code, trace where an error originates, and understand the underlying cause well enough to communicate it clearly to engineering or support teams.
  • Use basic Google Cloud Services knowledge to navigate logs, service configurations, and infrastructure-level context relevant to customer environments.
  • Write and run basic database queries against MongoDB to investigate data integrity issues, verify content records, or support troubleshooting during implementation and migration engagements.
  • Serve as an informed first-line technical investigator – not expected to resolve code-level issues independently, but able to diagnose, document, and escalate with specificity.

Quality Assurance & Delivery Excellence

  • Develop and execute structured QA checklists for each implementation and migration, covering content accuracy, navigation integrity, permissions, and core feature functionality.
  • Own the internal sign-off process before any implementation or migrated environment is handed off to the customer, ensuring consistent quality standards across all engagements.
  • Identify recurring issues or patterns across implementations and contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery processes and documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Solution Architects, Business Consultants, and Customer Success Managers to ensure seamless project handoffs and a unified customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to report bugs, edge cases, and migration-related platform behavior that should be addressed in the product roadmap.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge base documentation – including migration guides, QA templates, and intranet implementation playbooks – to build repeatable team capability.

What You’ll Need:

  • Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, or administering intranet or internal communications platforms (Appspace, Sharepoint, Igloo, SharePoint, or similar).
  • Familiarity with workplace management solutions – space reservation, room/desk booking, digital signage, or similar – with the ability to ramp quickly on implementation delivery.
  • Experience with platform migrations – moving content, structure, and permissions from one system to another – with a quality-focused approach.
  • Basic technical literacy in at least one of: C#, cloud service platforms, or NoSQL/document databases sufficient to investigate errors and communicate findings clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail with experience performing structured QA validation of content or system configurations.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to translate technical findings into clear, customer-facing language.
  • Ability to manage multiple implementation engagements simultaneously with a high degree of organization and follow-through.
  • Customer-centric mindset with experience in direct client-facing delivery roles.

Technical Skills & Proficiency Expectations:

This role requires foundational technical fluency across several areas. The expected depth is investigative rather than engineering-level – enough to diagnose, communicate, and escalate issues with precision.

  • Appspace Intranet: Deep working knowledge of the Appspace Intranet platform – configuration, content structure, navigation, permissions, and core features.
  • Appspace Internal Comms: Working knowledge of internal communications features – content channels, audience targeting, publishing workflows, and engagement tools.
  • Appspace Workplace Mgmt: Working knowledge of space reservation, room/desk booking, digital signage, and wayfinding sufficient to lead implementation engagements.
  • Sharepoint Platform: Sufficient familiarity to read and map existing site structures, page content, and permissions during a migration engagement.
  • Igloo Platform: Sufficient familiarity to read and map existing site structures, page content, and permissions during a migration engagement.
  • C# (Basic): Able to read and navigate C# code to locate where an error message is generated and understand its root cause. No requirement to write or modify code.
  • Google Cloud Services (Basic): Able to navigate GCP tools (e.g., Cloud Logging, Cloud Console) to retrieve relevant logs and service context during troubleshooting.
  • MongoDB (Basic): Able to write and run basic queries to inspect records, verify content migration accuracy, and support data-level investigation.
  • QA / Testing: Able to design and execute structured content and functional QA checklists; strong attention to detail and commitment to delivery quality.
  • Figma: Able to update visual files with small updates such as line, stroke, and fill modifications.

Preferred Skills:

  • Direct experience with Sharepoint and/or Igloo platforms, including an understanding of their content models, site architecture, and administrative interfaces.
  • Experience with workplace management or workplace experience platforms (space reservation, digital signage, wayfinding, or room/desk booking systems).
  • Background in internal communications strategy – understanding of content governance, publishing workflows, and audience targeting in a corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform – specifically Cloud Logging or related observability tooling.
  • Working knowledge of MongoDB or similar document database querying.
  • Basic C# reading comprehension – ability to trace error messages through application code to identify their source.
Experience in a professional services or implementation consulting environment within a SaaS organization.
  • Knowledge of intranet best practices: information architecture, content governance, navigation design, and adoption strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
